Based on common sense, your occurrence is rather incorrect.

Based on having been camping many times before, in both tents and cabins, your occurrence is ludicrously incorrect.

Considering starting/promoting a weekly 1-3 PLO/PLO8 mixed game at Graton. I'm also considering 20-40 limit hold'em/limit O8 but would prefer pot limit. Saturday mornings would be my 1st choice. Any interest from other players in the area?

You should upgrade your browser from Lynx to at least Netscape Navigator.

Wow, whoever got that going is brave, because that's going to piss off a lot of people.

Is the new Bay 101 big enough for another 15 tables?

I went to both Bay 101 and M8trix this afternoon. The outside tent houses only table games -- no poker games. I asked the floor person at M8trix if/when they expected to bring poker back, and he said that even with plexiglass, the city currently limits them to 3-handed poker, which is a non-starter.

I'm flying to Vegas in a few weeks to take a much-needed vacation and scratch my poker itch.

I thought I saw somewhere that Graton had almost normal poker. They might not be running their normal junket bus so it's a bit of a drive.

Graton is on bravo, and they’re always running games 7-handed, but I’m not desperate enough for live NLHE to drive 4 hours round trip and wait in a 50 person waitlist

FWIW, the call in time was extended from 1 hour to 3 hours before they take your name off the list. I was there the other day and saw 30 names on a list for Bravo but 25 of those were call ins.

This is certainly incorrect. I know for a fact that Bay 101 is running poker games in their tents, and it's at least 5 handed.

Source - my own eyes when I walked through the tent 1 week ago

Also, Lucky Chances has set up there own tent with poker and Cali games. Check out CzechRaiseCharles' latest youtube vlog for pics and info.

Bay 101 had their poker shut down earlier this week for not having enough spacing between players.

It is certainly correct, seeing as I visited it after you, as my post clearly states.

But feel free to waste a trip there if you don't believe me.

Thanks for the updates guys, you really help the rest of us who aren't in the area.

Bay101 website still claims they are running 8-handed poker outside. So your 1st-hand accounts are great.

lucky chances supposedly playing outdoors. Are they running poker, or did they get shut down like m8trix/bay101

Lucky Chances - Open (as of a week ago at least)
Bay 101 - NO
Matrix - NO
I asked floormen in both when they think they will start (Santa Clara county is now in the Orange tier which should make it easier) - both said "We dont know"
Bankers (Salinas) - Open

I had a chance to play at Stones Gambling Hall for the first time this past weekend in Sacramento. While it's not a Bay Area cardroom, Stones would KILL IT if they opened a room here. I've overall found the Bay Area rooms depressing (grumpy patrons, grumpy dealers, and grumpy floor people on the large). I was in awe of the environment at Stones, floor staff, friendliness and competency of the dealers, food, wait staff, comfort of chairs and just about everything else. The only place that comes close here is Graton but the floor staff can be grumpy.

It's insane how long the lists at Graton are these days. Not surprising given it's the only room open in the Bay Area. Wondering if it's just all call ins?

Lucky Chances is open again and was packed for Lunar New Years and President's Day. They're running rack attacks on top of high hand promotions which seems insane, but they do take $2 even if there isn't a flop...

A new cardroom just opened up in Napa, CA. It's called Ace and Vine and currently has 3 tables, been running a 1/2/3 NL daily, and a 2/3/5 every other day. 4/8 limit has also been running, poker is very popular in the area, and no doubt this place will be a success. People are starting to spread the word and action has been picking up. You can match the biggest stack and straddle for up to half your stack from any position. Very spacious setup under a tent. It is a restaurant/cardroom with a 1st class high end restaurant that provides service on a must see out door patio deck.

Wondered how they could open a new casino with the moratorium, but found out:

1. License used to be for Hemphill's Card Room (closed 2005)

2. New owners trying to get OK's since August 2017

3. Nine total tables, so if 3 are poker, rest are blackjack, pai gow, etc. For now.

4. Location used to be Compadres restaurant

Yeah, they had a pretty hard time getting it approved but it is here now. I'm not going until the pandemic settles down more but I expect to be there a lot once that happens. Also Corporation Mike from LATB is one of the owners which is an interesting bit of trivia. I'll post a TR once I get there.

Does anyone know when the Oaks is going to reopen again? And when Palace Poker, Bay 101, and the Matrix are going to have poker again?

San Mateo county - AJ's is closest to orange which will allow card rooms to operate at 25% capacity. Not sure how close Alameda is. Graton's been running for months if you have to play live. I just completed my vaccinations, I may go up to Graton in a few weeks.

IIRC some LA card rooms erected tents which allowed them to be in limited use.
