Is there any other LHE 20/40 action in the county (or Riverside Co.) besides O11?

It's like a 30-40min drive up to O11 for me so I don't really wanna go when there isn't gonna be a game. If some other 2+2ers were gonna be there to help get a game going I would def be willing to drive up there sometime other than fri night.

I'd be up for Saturdays when I'm not in the game until 9:30 Saturday morning like I was this week.

I'd really like a Saturday afternoon game.

We always have a 20/40 Limit game on Saturday nights at Elsinore. Also the 2-3 game is the best, uncapped buy in. I always buy in at least 200 blinds deep and the games get really big.

I've always found it funny that Pechanga doesn't have a regular 20/40. Granted it's been about a year, but last few times I was there the largest limit game was 8/16 Kill. It just seems odd that a nice new room latched on to a casino can't at least keep a 15/30 going. Maybe everybody knows their floor and (most) dealers are crap. I wouldn't play 20/40 with a bad floor. Send me to Commerce first, the dealers are also (mostly) crap, but at least the floor can keep things in line.

+1
Oceans 11 PLO happens to be a big part of San Diego Poker as (correct me if Im wrong) they are the only ones who run it in the area. I don't play it, but appreciate the note saying it's going. It's more of a sevice to the players who like to play it, those who don't should just skip it.

True, but having $300 as the most you can lose is pretty rare in that game, the stacks get very deep very fast.

And the jump to the game at Palomar is a bit large for most.

I've lurked on 2+2 for years but obviously have posted very little. I do play the 25-25 & 25-50 PLO & Half & Half NL/PLO at Palomar, but not the 50-100 PLO. They also spread 10-20 Half & Half NL/PLO or 10/20 NL or PLO if enough players are interested.

I heard they still had the chips in the cage, a couple months after it hit, from the incident a couple years back. Dont know how long they would hold onto it though...

And, you can come back and get it. As long as you were over 21 when you hit it. Its happened before.

Hey Guys. Just found this thread. I was born and raised in SD, and played at most the 18+ casinos in SD during high school. Now that I am finally 21 I am going to be hitting up Oceans, and possibly Harrahs this weekend. I will give some thoughts on every place in the SD area that i know of and have played at.

Barona- nice casino, card room, hotel, and golf course. will find plenty of lower stakes limit and no limit holdem. i believe they started doing 30-50 dollar buy in tournaments within the last year.
Viejas- Big casino and Poker room. Will find a decent variety in games and limits (including stud and omaha) from what i remember. they also have some big, cheap tournaments (like $15 buyin with 300 person fields) that run a few nights per week.
Sycuan- Not much at Sycuan to make me ever want to go back. pretty weak in all area imo.
Pauma- This was a dingy tent with i think 3 tables when i was there last. No real reason to go there (it is way out of the way for most anyways), even though i believe they had plans for a major renovation in the near future.

I have never played at Pechanga, Harrahs, or Oceans, though i have heard good things about all three. They are all 21+. As for the 18+ I would say that Barona takes the cake.

Has anyone been out to that new casino in the Imperial County right next to Yuma? Quechan Resort or something.

If anyone gets out there let me know how it is. Their website says they have NL and Omaha.

I'm going to Harrah's on Tuesday of next week any advice for me. Looking for 1-2 limit/no limit as well. Is it soft, aggressive or what?

The circuit is on at Harrah's right? I haven't been there in ages but word around the school yard is that the games are great during the circuit (good selection/action), otherwise, prob not worth the drive.

live games have been fantastic the past few years during the circuit.
on a monday night the year before last, layne flack and gavin smith showed up and juiced the hell out of the 3/5nl game before convincing the table to jack up the stakes. quite fun.
