Thanks for the info. What're the buy ins for the 2-5 games?

At Thunder Valley it's $100-$500 for 2/5. At Royale it starts as $100-$500 but after the game starts it becomes table max so you can buyin to match the biggest stack.

Hey Kirk

Having dealers that understand what pot limit is and how to correctly determine the max raise would be good. When I play that game I feel like I have to babysit the dealer and have corrected dealers numerous times on their mistakes.

That being said, I liked the game and the action and would play it when it runs and when I can afford it.

I hate smoke too, but I don't find TV smoky. There is no smoking in the poker room. Even though it is not physically separated from the smoking-allowed casino, the smoke has never bothered me. It's recently built specifically to be a poker room, so they probably designed the air to blow the right way. Maybe if you're *very* sensitive you might be bothered, but I never have.

The problem with the air is not the smoke but the temperature. Bring a jacket. Even in August. Even if it's 104 outside.

I'll play PLO as long as it is somewhere other than Lucky Derby.

Considering advertising is strictly prohibited by 2p2, I'd say I agree with Steve. The only exception would be if you're not employed by the casino in question.

Well, you sure push the place pretty hard for having no affiliation. I don't know why you don't just disclose who you are.

fwiw I see nothing wrong w/ Doja's post and wish other casino reps (or players or whatever) would update us on all the new promotions in our area. Also fwiw I have no clue who he is or if we've ever met.

Not like he's spamming the **** outta it. The complaints about his posts are taking up more space here than his posts.

Also the new promos suck compared to dash for cash. Although they do attract more recreational players.

I believe that's management's idea... to get more gamboolers in the building. So far, no talk of removing the monthly bonus. I hope they don't!

Thanks Hanginout, I don't understand the backlash on my posts either. I wish more locals would tell us what is going on at other houses promo wise.

One post per month or two is really pushing hard huh? And I'm not gonna disclose who I am cuz this is a bbs and it doesn't matter who I am anyways. If it makes you so mad, then just skip my post and ignore it. Or better yet... tell me why I should go elsewhere!

Anyone know what the house took out of the "Double Stack Tournament" at Cordova Casino on Sunday? This is second hand from a friend I bought a piece of, he said they had 57 runners & only 7 didint take the double stack. $150 single buyin, $300 for double, the prize pool was only 10k, now either he is way off, or I think they raked the sh*t out of that event. Lowest I could see the prize pool would be 12-13k. Anyone with inside info, I would appreciate it, before I go bad mouthing them.

I tried to check out the website, but for some reason it was down. And calling them only ended in more questions from them then me.

Post away, it's good to know what's going on where. But I would bet a decent penny that you do have some affiliation beyond "player" at Royale.
