On a recent trip driving back from Vegas, I my husband and I ran into this Casino as a stopping point. Since I didn't see a thread for it on the forum, thought I would start one and give some information on this unique place. We origionally stopped as a result of a free gas promotion billboard that was advertising to sign up for a players card, and as a result we found these ameneties.

Players card sign up- offering $10 in free gas to new members (which ended Feburary 1st), a free gift (key chain or step stool) and cash back based on play ($5 for 500 points)

With a player's card, qualify for a $7.99 buffet, which was outstanding for the price and location. Food selection ranged from italian fare, to mexican (great fajhitas), chinese, american, and multiple beef cuts. In addition, soup, salad, and dessert bars were featured.

Poker room had a 2-6 spread limit table active with the dealer describing play rules to a player, great opportunity to make some money

The casino itself featured a carpeted "road" that flowed through the casino floor to simulate following a driving route. The staff seemed very friendly and helpful, and were very knowledgeable with answering questions.

They also had multiple table games going, video poker slots and others, and other venues to eat at.

Located on Interstate 40 in Rio Puerco, NM, I would reccommend as a stopping point for anyone making the drive to Vegas or just in the area...

Actually, the free gas turned out to be a mistake. The casino had intended to end the promo earlier than they did, but forgot to have the billboard changed. So they were stuck with it for another day. To our benefit!

We both picked up a stepstool, which folds for easy carrying and storage. Here's a picture of it:

And a picture of their chips:

It really is a nice casino out in the middle of seeming nowhere. Shame that their poker room won't see more action. They show a willingness to spread a wide variety of games, but I doubt that they see anything other than low level action. Beautiful room, and one that we hope to visit again someday.
