The above information and the ruling made by the floor is incorrect. Per TDA rules the first player to make a calling motion against an opening bet or raise is a mandatory full call (see rule on undercalls.) It is a player's responsibility to know, follow, and understand the action. Rule 1 applies as always but based on the technical rules this is a clear call.

Actually it may not be.

There's a thread on this on PokerTDA .com - I can't link it (work blocks, I looked it up on my phone), but it really depends on whether this is pre-flop or post flop.

Pre-flop the Big Blind is the OPENING bet.

If pre-flop the blinds post, then betting has opened. If the next player raises, and the third player puts out chips equal to the big blind, then the third player is NOT obligated to call the raise. (What if UTG went all in and EP1, sitting on the other side of the dealer, didn't hear it or see it, for example?)

In such a case, per the TDA thread, the floor/td is justified in requiring that EP forfeit the chips in the pot already but not required to call the raise.

POST flop, however, the first person to open the action is different. If the blinds now check, no betting has occurred, then the UTG bets 10k, goes all in, whatever, and player 3 just puts in whatever the blinds are, well - action was opened, and now it's a mandatory call.

In the situation described above, the 10.2k was presented as a raise, which means action has already opened. This means its either pre-flop and it's a raise to 10.2k from the blind, or someone else opened and the 10.2k raise was not the 1st bet of the round. In either case, it's not opening the action, and the mandatory call rule does not apply.

Sorry to re-ask this, but how many runners do the 7:00s get, I would assume Friday and Saturday have the biggest turnouts?

Also, I've heard that most of the tournaments can be "re-entered," is this basically the same as a rebuy tournament, if not what are the differences? Just wondering because I dislike rebuys, I'm a one bullet kind of guy (sorry ladies.)

Re entry is pretty much you bust, go up to the podium, re enter, seated at a different table.

Has anyone ever slept in their car in the garage, is it allowed? Just thinking I'd like a four hour nap without paying for a hotel.

Sorry again guys, does the 9 am satellite to the noon deepstack on Saturdays get a turnout every week? I wouldn't mind taking a little shot, but would hate to wake up early and have it not run.

Yep. I've never seen that canceled. Usually winds up giving 3 or 4 seats to noon tourney.

I don't know their policy, but I wouldn't imagine it's a big deal on a one off. If you did it every night I assume they might have an issue. If car is off, it's unlikely they even notice. Either way, all they'd say is you need to move along or go inside unless you appear like a vagrant to them. It's not like the self park is heavily patrolled.

I've done it and been stopped by security, I told them I drank a bit too much and couldn't drive, and if they'd mind me crashing as couple hours before I left. They were pretty cool about it.

How is the area around the casino for walking around? Any recommendations for best food both value and quality in casino and easy walking distance? How difficult is it to get a last minute Pirates ticket? Hopefully, I will be grinding a tournament or a cash game, but sometimes Lady Luck or a donk moment intervenes and a backup plan is needed?

I played weekly Saturday $200+25+5 deepstack yesterday for the first time in 11 months. The structure has been radically improved. They ditched the first 25-50 level (absurd for a tourney with 25,000 starting stack and added several levels at the middle/late stages, 150-300, 250-500, 500-1000, 750-1500, etc. This could quite possibly be the best structured weekly tournament in the country. Rake is high, but you get plenty of play. Shortest stack entered final table with 15 bigs and tourney was still going well past 11pm.

Bucco tickets are easily had, they rarely sell out except holidays and Friday/Saturday...but even then scalping is easy and relatively cheap. As for eating around there, it really depends what you want. For good beer, I'd say rivertowne is closest and best, and their food is ok. For lunch, hit up ye olde allegheny sandwich Shoppe, it's a long walk, but same side of the city, maybe a 5 minute cab ride or a 20/25 minute walk. For good food and beer around dinner time, near the sandwich Shoppe is james street speakeasy, place is awesome, but take a cab if it's late night, and have one scheduled to pick you up. Also for beer only, hit up beer market across from the baseball park. No food served there though. Best wishes and enjoy the city!

+1 on the allegheny sandwich shop. Good food reasonably priced. They're only open until 2pm though. Breakfast and lunch only.

What's up with this place not getting interest for any NL stakes over 1-3? I always check the Bravo App and there is usually an interest list for 2-5 but rarely a table above 1-3. I played a lot of 2-5 successfully at the Sands in Bethlehem, but there were almost always 5-5, 5-10, and even 10-25 tables running, so I knew the best players at the casino weren't playing my stakes. At the Rivers, I presume the best players sit at 1-3 bored hoping that a 2-5 gets started. Even if there is a 2-5 game that comes available it doesnt seem like it would be a good choice to be playing against the best players in the house. Anyone have any insight on the 2-5 game at the Rivers when it goes?

There's been a semi regular 5-10 game going. It's slowed down lately. It seems like the bigger games come and go in waves. 2-5 used to run a lot more often, then there was a 5-5 game I believe that went off a lot, but after that died down, the 2-5 never came back. The 5-10 game started I believe when they filmed the poker night in America here, but now maybe runs once a week from what I see on bravo.
