+1

The job market in the area is super healthy. Find something you enjoy doing, or suck it up and put on your game face.

Someone started lists for PLO8 and OE. I'm on my way and down for either. Let's get one going.

Quick couple of questions for the regs here.

1. Whats the rolling royals promo? ( is it still going on ? )

2. Whats this regular 45% promo thing( coming out of the bbj rake ? ) that helps the grinders out?

3. Do you still get a dollar per hour ( heard it maybe $1.50 per hour now at 1/3 nl ) playing at the tables, and also are you only able to use it for slots (video poker?) instead of food? (Any way of converting this to cash?)

4. Heard of a drawing where the more you played the more entries you got and a few people who just played a bunch won 500-1000 5-10 times? Was this over a week or month period?

Thanks everyone

1: royals, using both hole cards make a royal flush, get paid. Does not have to go to showdown, need ten dollars in the pot. Yes, they are still running, each suit has it's own amount, they are shown on the bravo.
2: I don't remembered the percentages exactly, but a percentage of the the bad beat drop goes top the bbjp, a percentage goes to the reserve, and a percentage goes to promotions. I believe this month the promo is a drawing for a main event seat to the ppo, i think there are five seats being given away. Also should be listed on the bravo.
3: still $1/hr. You can use it on whatever you like(food, booze, slots)
4: those were promotions in previous months, i believe the most recent was february.

Hope that helps.

Thanks, yeah def helps. Had heard of #3 being only for slots now (heard they just implemented it) but i could have been misinformed, i assume you can't convert this dollar per hour into actual cash instead. Also, i'm glad they still have the royal flush promo going on

Stopped in yesterday for the first time in a few months and was pleasantly surprised to see a 25/50 NLHE game running as well as a 5/10 PLO. Easily over 125K at the 25/50 table when I saw it around 3pm.

I'd like to know more about that game such as how long has it been running, how deep does it play (the min buy in is 50BB), who usually sits in it and any updates on how the game finished up yesterday.

I definitely don't have the roll to play in that game but I like fantasizing about crushing a 2/5 table and then taking a super short-stacked shot.

Game was only running since they advertised for it with the spring poker open.

Will probably stop by after the game tonight.
Chances PLO or a decent size mix go?

Answers:
25/50- biggest game spread to my knowledge in a long time, I believe it's advertised for next weekend. The lineup had a couple sickos and a couple marks, not an easy game though. Average stack when I was there was maybe 12k, short was around 7 and big was around 25k? Broke around 1am roughly (give or take an hour).
The 5/5 plo is what you saw. It runs 2-3 times a week.
5/10/20 nl is supposed to run today, but not sure if it went, check bravo.
Plo question, 1/3 plo runs almost daily. Decent chance for a mix game if you get list started early, 5/10 or 10/20 seems doable.

Thanks. Normally 1/3, 2/5, and 5/T or no 5/T? Anyone ever play crazy pineapple around these parts?

No cp in casino. 5/10 runs some times but I'm not sure what days. Try out the bravo app it will help

5/10 ran last night. Would've been a good game, but a 20 minute lighting malfunction caused it to break.

This casino was pretty rough with all the smoking when I was there last. Could only last like an hour before getting an awful headache. It's 2014, I figured only backwoods establishments still allowed you to smoke inside. Is it still this way?

The casino is split into a smoking side and a non smoking side. You can't smoke in the poker room, and it's closed off anyways.

You can still smoke inside of Rivers, but the poker room has been enclosed by glass and is smoke-free. It is quite nice. You can park in the garage and enter right next to the room and only have to hold your breath for about 20 steps to get into the poker room fish bowl.

If its not part of the BBJ, then people don't play it.

Was there a month ago, had the exact same problem you did.

Yeah, but I'd be going there with friends so wouldn't be playing poker. Sorry, I didn't make that clear in my previous post. I had no problems in the poker room the one time I played in there. So does the nonsmoking side have the same table game selection and bar that the smoking side has? I think the whole place was smoking the last I was there about 2.5 years ago

The entire place is filled with smoke. Perhap some tables are designated as nonsmoking, but that doesn't matter - it's a fog. Other than the poker room, there's no place to hide. It's awful.
