bad beat hit tonight. quad 7's into straight flush.

paid ~60k for the loser of the hand
30k to the winner of the hand

table was short handed, so table cut was ~10k a person

A: How do you know they haven't

B: If it were something fishy wouldn't all the dealers be in on it seeing how it must be really easy to manipulate

not to mention they review the security tapes a few hands before to make sure everything is legit.

also, I know for a fact that the floor watched the bad beat happen cause after the flop came, everyone was hootin and hollering and the floor came over to watch the turn and river

Stopped by Friday night after the Pirates game to check the place out, will be staying in Eastern Ohio for a while and would like to play Rivers Casino sometime, preferably tournaments.

If any regulars could pm me, I'd really appreciate being able to talk to you for a bit.

Only live experience is at the casino in Madison, WI with pokerpro tables (no dealer) so would appreciate being able to ask a few questions that may sound stupid to most. Especially with Black Friday making online play ****ty I'd really love to get live experience.

I'd say post your questions into the thread, there are a few regulars on this board and it probably wouldn't be bad to get a few opinions on your question so you can get your best area

Gonna call when I get off work tonight to ask, but if anyone knows can you sign up over the phone or online? I've definitely decided to try it out for fun but I don't want to drive down there 4 hours early to sign up if I don't have to.

So did the heads up event sell out? If so, what day and time?

They only had 32 lock ups at go time so they cut it in half and ran with it. Final four chopped for 1600. So win 3 matches or so and get 1600. Not too bad.

I would have played, but a heads up tournament really needs to be double elimination.

Yeah it needs to be but that also makes it long as hell and players bitched up a storm that it took too long. The casino lost money on the first one so unless players are willing to unanimously agree to a higher chunk for the casino and for it to last 10+ hours over two days then its not likely to go back.

You can't please everyone all the time. Someone always bitches about every tournament. More often than not, its more than one person. Everyone has a way to improve everything. 90% of what I said is 82% true.

Anyone play in the Deep Stacks before, guesstimate as to how many entries and what time it ends?

First post! I played in one back in May, had about 60 entrants. Not sure how many they will get during the summer, but I'm thinking it will be fewer since it hasn't been as busy during the afternoon.

Since the structure is good I think these wrap up around 11 or 12.

Thanks for the info, might be nice to just sit in a cool room and play cards all day.

You are welcome.
I hate that both The Rivers and The Meadows don't post the schedules until a week into the month.
