IMO room has gone downhill , they took bbjp away under a new manager who nobody ever sees and then littered a schedule that makes no sense with high hand BULL****, then they take space in middle of room with dumb ass board sitting on empty poker table with mystery tabs you pull for high hands. When bbjp was going there were twice as many tables going on non peak hours. To me the action just isn't there now I was a 2-5 player but at rivers could play 1-3 a lot and make 2-5 money sometimes this is no longer case further more dealers rarely know what promotion going I've heard a dozen of them say sorry I don't know what's going on management dosent tell us anything. As far a management there was a period when they let regs jus bounce around and play musical chairs but they seem to cut that **** out or try which I was glad to see.
Fyi not writing this to bash anyone , jus think whoever is running marketing and promotions should LISTEN to the players and people who make there room go around .
So they say and when I say they I mean dealers that new management came and said I don't want all this money sitting here for bbjp when we could spread out or some bs. Anyway room was great one of the better ones in area now not so much imo action sucks , room not as busy off peak times and a lot of employees never know what promotions are going on real nice mr.manager I'm coming to this room less and less b/c imo room has changed for the worse L6 months or so. And this is coming from someone who plays different cardrooms frequently around country. This room was fine you came along and ****ed **** up good job. Smh bra if it ain't broke don't fix and you may wanna ask ur clientele (players) what they prefer instead of what you think .
I wouldn't consider myself a reg at this room, once a week type player to be honest, sometimes twice a week, sometimes I go a month without playing.
I do know several regs there and the BBJ was done away with (although back in a different form now) because the regs got tired of contributing to the jackpot only to see all that money leave the room which typically is the case when someone wins a large sum of money. Often that BBJ got over 80K.
I don't care for the "mystery high hands" either, but I think the current mix of promotions is pretty good. High hands up to $500 every day, the mini BBJ and the Royal Flush payouts.
I think the dealers there are good people all the way around and I've never once heard them say they didn't know what promotion was going on. In fact, even though I stop in somewhat regularly I'm often reminded by the dealer what the current promotion is when I sit down.
My only complaint, and it's a small one, is that they tolerate too much poor behavior from some of the regs. I'm guessing this goes on in every room in the country. I shouldn't have to put up with being called a luck MF'r when my 99 holds up against your AK as you fire your cards at me.
All in, it's a great room with great dealers and run in a manner that is consistent with what the players want.
