Min 100 max 300 for 1-3. I'm not sure for the 2-5, I don't think it runs that often.

Fri usually has a 5/5/t plo and a 10/25 nlhe. Both semi private but amazing if you get in. Sat IDK. During hockey season the private 5/5/t runs whenever pk doesn't have a game and is in town.

This thread seems dead , but jus wanted to chime in about this room, I'm semi reg since place been open I guess about 10 years now. This place game of choice 1-3 NL , where you could find good games with great action. IMO room has gone downhill , they took bbjp away under a new manager who nobody ever sees and then littered a schedule that makes no sense with high hand BULL****, then they take space in middle of room with dumb ass board sitting on empty poker table with mystery tabs you pull for high hands. When bbjp was going there were twice as many tables going on non peak hours. To me the action just isn't there now I was a 2-5 player but at rivers could play 1-3 a lot and make 2-5 money sometimes this is no longer case further more dealers rarely know what promotion going I've heard a dozen of them say sorry I don't know what's going on management dosent tell us anything. As far a management there was a period when they let regs jus bounce around and play musical chairs but they seem to cut that **** out or try which I was glad to see.
Fyi not writing this to bash anyone , jus think whoever is running marketing and promotions should LISTEN to the players and people who make there room go around .
So they say and when I say they I mean dealers that new management came and said I don't want all this money sitting here for bbjp when we could spread out or some bs. Anyway room was great one of the better ones in area now not so much imo action sucks , room not as busy off peak times and a lot of employees never know what promotions are going on real nice mr.manager I'm coming to this room less and less b/c imo room has changed for the worse L6 months or so. And this is coming from someone who plays different cardrooms frequently around country. This room was fine you came along and ****ed **** up good job. Smh bra if it ain't broke don't fix and you may wanna ask ur clientele (players) what they prefer instead of what you think .

I stopped in rivers mid week Tonite after not playing there awhile only fair for me to say 1_3 game was good seemed busy and they got a a mini jackpot even though I left stuck a Nik , there were several pots for 700,800 with guys getting it in playing bad including me which is better than a bunch of nits trying to win 200$ on high hand , all in all never wanted to sound sour but sometimes you give the keys to a lambo to someone that can't drive it. Btw also very fair that all the dealers that been there for long time do care about the players and take there job seriously imo good people . Nobodys perfect but im pretty sure I wasn't the only player that felt the same as I in my previous post.

I wouldn't consider myself a reg at this room, once a week type player to be honest, sometimes twice a week, sometimes I go a month without playing.

I do know several regs there and the BBJ was done away with (although back in a different form now) because the regs got tired of contributing to the jackpot only to see all that money leave the room which typically is the case when someone wins a large sum of money. Often that BBJ got over 80K.

I don't care for the "mystery high hands" either, but I think the current mix of promotions is pretty good. High hands up to $500 every day, the mini BBJ and the Royal Flush payouts.

I think the dealers there are good people all the way around and I've never once heard them say they didn't know what promotion was going on. In fact, even though I stop in somewhat regularly I'm often reminded by the dealer what the current promotion is when I sit down.

My only complaint, and it's a small one, is that they tolerate too much poor behavior from some of the regs. I'm guessing this goes on in every room in the country. I shouldn't have to put up with being called a luck MF'r when my 99 holds up against your AK as you fire your cards at me.

All in, it's a great room with great dealers and run in a manner that is consistent with what the players want.

i hate money being used for a BBJ instead of other promotions, and i thought it was a great room the one time i visited in the middle of the night, while heading to atlantic city with Ray a few months back but i mainly felt this even though i lost because the action was so much more loose there than in most rooms

Whats up all, I figured this was the place to ask so I registered on here to ask this question.

Was semi regular at the Rivers for awhile (2016-2017) at the nightly NL sit and go's and 1/3 NL cash games. Moved outta town for a bit, back in the 412 now. A few years back I had set a goal for myself that once my bankroll hit a certain amount I'd go play that Friday/Saturday night 5/5 PLO game. Last week, my bankroll hit that goal amount. Does anyone have any info about this? Is there a max $ amount you can sit down with? I haven't been to the room in several months at least, so I have no clue what's been happening there.

Any info greatly appreciated. If this game is impossible to get into or some other issue, what does everyone else local to the burgh suggest?? Where's everybody playing these days?

Thanks in advance for any info. I'm sure I'll end up going and checking it out, but any info in advance never hurts.

I want to like this room but just not the biggest fan of the regs and the management. I’m really surprised the Pittsburgh area can’t get 1 or 2 2/5s to run consistently on a nightly basis and when they have 9 people on a list on an off day the management doesnt push to open the bigger game. The majority of the regs who play 2/5 and up are pretty douchey. They sit there and talk strategy the whole time and guilt anyone who joins the game into straddling even if they don’t want to. They try and keep the bigger games semi private which as a room is just bad for business.

There is a 2/5 nl game that runs every Tuesday at 6pm. Sometimes there is also a must move game. 2/5 also plays every Friday and Saturday usually with a must move on Friday. All other days of the week are hit or miss.
The 2/5 players are friendly and we have a good time. The game is growing in interest due to the max buy in being 1k. It was $500 max previously.

I don't think they are going to build a hotel. They seemed ready to break ground a couple years ago but I guess they changed course.

I haven't played in a while then about 10 days I got for a 2am-7am run. Around 4am we are 7 handed with seats 5 and 6 empty. Guy in 4 is leaning way back and has his legs stretched almost to 6. New guy wants to sit in 5 and asks guy in 4 to move his legs. Guy in 4 gets nasty and refuses to move legs. Guy in 4 who appears to be a reg calls the new guy a whiney bch and some other words. Floor gets cLles and young looking floor comes over. Guy in 5 asks for his spot and guy jn 4 says he is being a whiney bch. Floor sides with 4 and tells new guy to just move to 5. Then gets nasty with him. Wtf, how can the floor be such a dick. Especially after 4 was being such a jerk right in front of floor. Put a bad taste in my mouth

I feel really bad for the dealers, rough spot to just have a complete stop to your income. I can't imagine playing live poker for a long time now.

ya i heard just today that they are starting to start to start to start to start reopening the poker room.

i have been back to work as a table games dealer since June besides another 2 week shutdown a few months back. the table games dealers used to congregate in the empty poker room when you started your shift to get assigned your table(s) but that changed yesterday so things are happening.

in related news, the hotel construction is on pause and so is one of the new restaurants they are remodeling. however, it is getting busier in the casino as the alcohol restrictions are loosening little by little although most of the bars are still closed.

i have no timetable when the poker will be back as they don't really tell us because it really has nothing to do with us as we and poker are totally separate.

i used to play in there a ton before i worked there. i drank hundreds of miller lites and won and lost thousands of dollars. good times, i miss it
