Tax implications of these "promotions" need to be spelled out. Players should not be paying taxes when all they are doing is getting their money back.

They are spelled out by the IRS, not by SugarHouse.

Please find as many ways as possible to spread this money out in small increments across the player pool.

-Apply for a mini-bad beat
-Splash the pot
-Cracked Aces
-High Hands
-Random seat drawings
-Events like wingbowl, super bowl promos

The last thing we need is people walking out with 120-150k only to never be seen again.
KylePhilly - Agreed. I think you will like how we are going to spread out the funds. It just makes sense. Raye

The high hand promotion is great. The $ comes directly from the casino not taken from pots.

One thing that is kind of insane, in the last week they need a new rule that if you order a Fiji water u have to give your players card to the waiter, and they come out with a receipt you actually have to sign. It doesn't cost money if you are playing $1/$3 or higher, but still that is just ridiculous. If I play for five hours I might go through six, it's so annoying to have to sign my name on the receipt six times

I don't understand. You say that when you order a water they should give you a receipt to sign then you say it's annoying to have to sign a receipt every time. What am I missing?

Wow what an incredible hardship this must be.

I was there today and other players were talking about this... it has to be something a bean counter came up with as a way to track the Fiji waters.

When ordering Fiji water the waitress has to take your card to the podium where they add comps to your card, then they deduct exact same amount from your card and make you sign for the comp.

The weird thing is, you don't have to do that for alcohol or any other drink. Just the Fiji water.

With all that said, it's much more of a pain for the servers and the people at the desk than it is the players. Just keep your card out and it's only an extra 5 seconds of your time.

There was about 95 entries this morning too. Probably about 60 originals and 35 re-entries. It's really starting to build up.

so, if they are taking your card and charging you then fiji is no longer free at $1/$3 and up.

comps or cash, you are still paying.

No... they add comps to your card at the podium, then they are deducting the same amount they credit you with so you aren't paying in cash or in comps. They are still free.

The only thing poker players love more than playing poker is complaining about the room in which they're playing.

I am just saying what the table was talking about when I was playing. I really don't care it's just such an inconvenience for everybody, mostly waitors. You guys can make fun of me for mentioning it but it was definitely an issue that was talked about for way longer than it should've been at the table. Dont shoot the messenger! Just weird that you don't have to do that for alcohol

Played at Sugarhouse for the first time in nearly a month yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at how much the dealers have improved.

Yeah, they are definitely better. There are still a couple of terrible ones.

Of course, if you had played $1/$2 at Parx Saturday night you dealt with dealers that were as bad or worse than the SH dealers on opening night.

I did, and it was actually my reason for returning to Sugarhouse. I can handle some mistakes, but I'm not dealing with incompetence of that level.

What's the over/under for tonight's tourney, 100? Maybe it's time to bump the guarantee to $6k?

Playing SH for the first time tonight, looking forward to it!

Raye,

I have a request. In the tournaments level 4 is 150/300 with a 50 ante.

Level 5 jumps to 300/600 with 75 ante.

Can you add a 200/400 level? It would make the structure a whole lot better.

Looks like the amount of runners has gone down a bit, but that is likely due to the fact that it is cold as balls in philly now.

Really pumped to play in a 4k this or next wk
