Anybody checked it out yet? From what I've heard the tables are rather small and the lines to get chips / cash out are rather long, but since they only opened a few days ago (and some parts of the resort are not even open as they're still under construction), hopefully they can work out the poker room kinks quickly.

I'm gonna be in Vegas in August, this is high on my list of priorities to check out. It's interesting tho -- it's an Asian themed resort, with a grand opening & first half year without any Asians lol. I'm curious what the mix is -- if it's mainly tourists, mainly pros checking it out cause it's the new shiny toy...

Any pictures and description of how things are going so far? I see they're on Poker Atlas and there are a variety of games going at nights but any additional info would be great.

Played once there. A nice room, tables are a tad small but not egregious. Dealers hit or miss - some excellent and very experienced, some had no clue what they were doing.

Odd buy-in max #s - $400 for 1/3, $1200 for 2/5, $3k for 5/10.

A nice addition but nothing game-changing and can't see it becoming anything better than Bellagio/Aria//Wynn.

Andrew Neeme vlog there if you wanna see chips, cards, etc: https://youtu.be/f2N7l9KiVgQ

They use PokerAtlas, not Bravo. He plays 2/5 NLHE and 5/5/10 PLO.

Great info. From some vlogs I've seen of the casino there seems to be tons of space all over so for the poker room to lack square footage and have to use smaller tables is very strange. Some of the foodie vlogs and restaurant reviews show so much empty space leading up to the hostess desk, etc... and then just massive open areas of space all over the casino.

Do any low mix games run here? Coming into town for a few nights, Would love to check out the new room but not have to play the mundane no limits hold thems. :-P

Played once last week, evening session. Just seconding pretty much everything here. The chairs were A+, and the chips clean/new obviously.

It's nice, but was kind of a ghost town. Only a few tables (2x 1/3, 1x 2/5, and some mixed game 80/120 maybe?) going where other rooms were packed.

Biggest thing I saw/heard from players: It's a pain in the ass to get to and from. It's on the strip, but it's not accessible from the strip. The entrance is down the block and up the hill a bit. The main parking garage is a long way from the casino entrance, not connected (outdoor), then its a good walk to the poker room too. (Edit: Apparently there's a second garage for the hotel behind that's closer to the poker room. I didn't see/hear about this til just now reading the other thread)

They use Poker Atlas instead of Bravo. You'll have to jump on that app to find out anything, but you can wait list in advance through the app, which is nice.

Conclusion: It's nice, for now. I don't think I would frequent it if I was a regular in town. As a tourist, staying more towards the center where you can hit Aria-Bellagio-Caesars-Venetian easily is too convenient to pass up.

These new rooms should really start making some 3 blind games or start encouraging gambling like bomb pots. The 2 blind games are just stale, and not exciting. Or add a rock to a NL game. I was playing 2/5/T and the game was really fun - created a bit more action than a standard 5/T.

My favorite is the double board omaha bomb pot every dealer change. This will encourage action - and get rid of people you don't want at the table who aren't good for the game.

The rock is awful for the game
Totally agree on triple blind

A new poker room is NEVER going to implement something that gets rid of players that YOU don't want.

Been there several times for some cash games, not very impressive to be honest. The poker room is very...simple. During weekdays not a lot of action as well. I was expecting something more, or at least as good as the wynn, but not the case.

Nevertheless, the dealers and the floor is doing a great job.

And they have one of the best, and nicest, dealers in the world- Moe, who you may know from the Borgata, Maryland Live and Horseshoe Baltimore. So go see him.

We have dropped in on random weekends and have found the action and number of tables to be pretty much "blah."

Distance from the strip is the main issue, more casual vacationers on strip moving about the main casinos.

download the Poker Atlas app.

Each night and day of the week check the game stakes you play and compare Resorts World to the Strip rooms. You will see more games being spread on the strip due to the sheer volume of people.

Thus better game selection and more tourists to play with...

Plus the tables at Resorts World are just a bit smaller than the rest of the poker universe _ cramped shoulder to shoulder

Just finished a session here (Monday late afternoon). A pleasant surprise. Nice room, pretty good action and much more reasonable wait lists than the insanity on the strip, where I routinely saw 70+ player wait lists for some games.

Loved my two sessions (Tue/Wed late night). It's a much more 'open' atmosphere there, much like a home game. They let the Players run the table (within reason) which included both rabbit hunting and 'deal' making of which you 'never' see in other rooms.

The food is over priced for sure. I used my $10 comp to buy two Powerade drinks .. and still owed them $2 cash! I heard both high and low praises about the food quality and it wont matter which place you get it, the variance of quality is all over the map. GL

I enjoyed the home game atmosphere of my game there Saturday night as well. The room and the property are very nice.

I see they have an 8-16 mix running every day during the WSOP. Any intel about what games are spread in that mix would be appreciated. TIA

Good chairs dealers are hit and miss like every room. Games are fairly reg heavy as it isn't really a strip property. Not many randoms playing.

I played the mix last time I was in town and it was fun, friendly and different. I liked the room also and the property. I didn’t play no limit but people told me the games were good.
