Borgata has a considerable amount more traffic to their table games as well. They have to comp all those people too. So that fact that they have more rooms is relative to amount they have to comp to begin with.
Borgata has a reputation for taking care of their poker players. As a result, people drive 3 hours from Long Island and Queens to go there. Resorts World is a closer commute and if the players got comped rooms (or at least a nice discount) Resorts will steal some of Borgatas poker buisness.
They dont have to comp all players who put hours in. Basically for people who live 1 1/2 hours plus away RW should make an effort to comp these people rooms. The people who live within an hour will come anyway because they can commute home..(basically they have to make an effort to get some of the $$ from NYC into their room)
Also players who play higher should get more perks. You want to have at least a 5-10 game going on the weekends and a 5-5 PLO going often to make it a legit room. You need to attract players who will play in those games and these players want a room.
