Would they ever break down a cash game to add a tournament table? Seems like they would optimally want to have a few 1/2 and 2/5 games running for those who don't play tourney, get busted, etc.

Is the poker room in a new location now? I haven't been there in 2019 yet.

I was there yesterday. Cash games were running during the tournament. I think it was 2 tables of 1/2 and 1 table of 2/5 alongside the tournament. But it was a quiet Tuesday.

The 2/5 game looked like a reg game and a lot of people knew each other from what I could glean from the conversation. The 1/2 game I sat in was mostly retired folks and a few locals.

Food is a major issue at this casino. There is no poker room service. You have to go out to the food court and buy it. You can bring it inside though. It looked pretty vile so I left without eating.

I like the room overall - my first visit. But the rake is too high and the food options too limited. I'm nearly equidistant to Foxwoods/Mohegan so I'm not sure why I would go back.

They have been updating on Bravo
1a- 88 with 16 remaining
1b- 117 with 19 remaining
1-c not on bravo but was told 8 remaining
1d- 46 with 7 remaining
and 1e is not up yet. I think average is around 170,000, not sure what largest stack is.

Starts at 11:15am and the day ends around 8pm (end of level 15) or whenever they get down to 18 players (whichever sooner). I'd imagine the last day 1 flight will have the most entries so I would get there a little early to guarantee a seat...not sure if they will open tables elsewhere if they don't have enough. You can also call them to get more info just in case as well. Average stack for day 2 should be around 150k-200k with blinds starting at 3k/6k.
Thanks, this is super helpful. Kind of what I expected given their size and the general quality of the job they do. I’m planning to get up there very early Saturday morning so I don’t have to worry about a long line to register or a lack of seat. If anyone up there Saturday wants to say hello, PM me!

Does anyone know if the PLO game gets going any weeknights?

Friday nights pretty regularly but it will break by 2-4am, hit/miss otherwise in my experience. Usually only 2/2 that sometimes gets bumped up laters into the night. Honestly there isn't enough gamble/money in the room to sustain bigger PLO games usually.

Ouch. Do they have any idea how much this is costing them?

I'm going to do a little vacation soon and visiting a friend in Woodstock so I was planning on swinging by when I'm in the area.

Do we have any idea if/when the room is actually moving?

Looks like sports betting will be live towards the end of the month. Does anyone know if the book will be in the area of the sports bar/restaurant?

The new poker room opened today actually... the only way I found out was because they posted on Facebook that the "BadBeat Jackpot" coincidentally hit for 187k the opening day of their new 20 table poker room.

I didn't see any other previous announcement about the opening of a new room anywhere else. I wonder where its located in the casino.

yea, where in the casino is the new poker room? In the back of the main casino? over by the Asians? what becomes of the old poker room on the 2nd level?

Lets see some pictures of the new set up.

When you enter the main casino make a right and walk all the way down past the cage and the room is on the left next to the asian games.

I'm in the room now. I like it a lot better than being upstairs. There's a huge window on the back of the room with mountain views and we have a deck that runs along the back as well. It's a smoker's paradise.

There is plenty of space between the 20 tables and it's a very comfortable room to play in. There is a dedicated poker cage right next to the podium and the bathrooms are right next to the room. The only con is the room could use some more light on the tables.

Saw they are doing another $100k tournament.

Hope this is a sign of more to come in the future. I like the size of this casino and enjoy the free rooms too.

It might not be. Was just in the Syracuse newspaper that they posted $73M in losses already, and have $400M in debt.

Main creditor in Indonesia that runs casinos is possibly buying the stock and taking it private.

Every time I've been there they are jam-packed for slots and casino games. TBH I get some amazing comps there with a minimal amount of play.

The food options are terrible, especially if you stay the night. You have one option for breakfast pretty much. The only good food place besides the steakhouse is the Mexican place at the Alder.

Hopefully sports betting will save them. They could already be up and running like Rivers Casino is but they manage this place terribly.

It's a nice venue and I like the poker room and comps but I guess the location hurts them. Nothing else around.

I think what is happening to them is the same thing that has happened to delLago, Tioga and Rivers. They overestimated incoming revenue projections and now have a ton of debt.

They just built the water park, so maybe they can recover from the debt.

I haven't been there yet, since Turning Stone and Tioga are closer to me, but I sure hope they don't fail. Adding the water park would make it more likely to the possibility I take a trip there with my three kids and sneak over to play at night.

Might be near the casino this Sunday (8/18). Just wanted to know what's the typical turnout for the regular Sunday tournament. Thanks.

Does anyone here who plays at RWC have an interest in trying to get a standing PLO game going for say Wednesday, Thursday or Friday night? If so, Dave might be willing to accommodate!

Would be totally happy to accommodate a PLO at whatever time and date.
If you come to a consensus we can post it for you.

I’m fine with 5/5. I don’t think the players at this room would play any higher. A standing Wednesday or Thursday would be great for me!
