Just back from Reno.......
Rumor confirmed (by a couple of dealers)- Eldorado poker room will move to the Silver Legacy and reopen on/about December 23. Assume that the Eldo room will operate up to that date, and then seamlessly move ops over to the SilLeg digs. No word on exactly where in SL the room will be, but lets hope for somewhere on the casino floor.
Work has started at Eldo to box in the entrance adjacent to current poker room to make way for more offices, and will assume that current poker room will get swallowed up in that conversion. (Not the corner entrance, the old Main entrance on Virginia Street that no one uses anymore.)
Peppermill quite packed most evenings, with MTTs, then a 20-40 limit game that had two tables going on wednesday night. Thursday Nights have random seat winners, 4 or 5 an hour, getting a c-note each. 8 cash tables going at 10pm.
Atlantis was off Bravo last two nights......not good to show zero games being spread. Not sure if Bravo was down, or the entire room.
I found the games were a little thin at the 2/5 (3/5?) level. Ending fairly early even on the weekends. I played 4-5 weekends last year and don't remember playing past midnight. Now if you have the talent for the 5-10+ maybe it's possible. Always seemed like the talented players could be quite profitable there.
Heading up to Tahoe this upcoming week, wanted to stay at a casino/resort in south Lake Tahoe area and be as close as possible to multiple ski areas. Is there a must stay spot in south lake tahoe for higher stakes poker? are there larger games on the regular at any of the casinos? best for bars and social scene? Thanks.
There are no higher stakes poker games in Tahoe. You are stuck with 2/3NL. Once in a while a 3/5NL game will break out, but that's rare outside of the WSOPC.
Harrahs / Harveys casinos are about a half block from the Heavenly gondola.
16 table poker room for the SL. The ElDo poker room becomes a Starbucks. These three properties sort of melt into one. Anyways, so the projected date of poker at SL was off by five months. http://www.kolotv.com/content/news/H...418199643.html

Where is the room being built? The article says may it'll be done but are you saying it'll be longer than that?
