Like I stated earlier they have done away with the kill pots under the new regime. A dealer told me that they will be back after the new Manager implements everything he wants to them he will again look at kill pots and other things he has emilinated.

The buy in for 3/5 is still 200-600, and I think they have a 3/5 PLO that runs on a certain night of the week. The day Im not sure of though since I mainly play on wednesdays there or friday in the morning.

Anything new with the $8 rake on the 1/2 nl game? This is the reason i will not show up at this room. It's embarrassing to say I play at a room with an $8 rake.

And this is one of the dumbest management decisions I've ever heard of. "Let's take away things and then re-implement them so I can take credit for them when they make people happy." Seriously asinine management.

like the limit games it really depends on who is there.

plo for sure runs every friday.

i've seen a few 5/10s on weekends in recent months. sometimes you have to be the one starting the list and going around to the tables asking who will play.

No LHE higher than 3/6 or lower than 20/40 anymore still? I guess the 1-1-2 NLHE still has an 8$ max rake as well. I don't think that craphole can get anything right except for only charging $10 juice on the $100 Sunday MTT's. I pretty much stopped going due to the increase of rake to the smaller LHE games ($5) and the downright ******ed $8 rake to the "new" 1-1-2 NLHE game. I don't see how anyone can make money in that place unless you crush the weekly tournaments or beatup the 3/5 NLHE game or 5/5 PLO game since the big LHE games are all regulars.

I miss the days of a REGULAR 5/10 LHE game and for some reason I miss playing that small stud game randomly too...just for the lulz

Still waiting for a response to my question about how big the NLHE games get at POTO. Last time I visited the largets NLHE game was 5-10. IMO that's pretty weak.

5-10 goes on occasion; you'll see 10-20 once or twice a year tops. The only big games that go are limit holdem, up to 75-150 in past but usually 30 or 50 and PLO, up to 10-25, but often 5-5 or 5-10. The 5-10 probably plays like a 10-20 on most nights and is usually very deep stacked.

Pots reaching 4 figures are common even in the 5/5 game. Lots of green and black stacks on this table. Fun table to watch.

I think its worth it to just goto the Horseshoe once or twice a month and spend the extra money in gas and tolls than goto Poto5-6 times a month. The action is much better, more games to select from and a small NLHE game that doesn't rake $8.

The Horseshoe is nice. They have some higher NL games and their High Stakes room is pretty sweet. I once heard a rumor that a guy won 500,000 in high stakes PLO there in a matter of a week.

Bad Beat Promo at the Pot?

Apparently, Potowatomi is running a bad beat promotion between MIDNIGHT and 5 AM Monday through Friday for the four full weeks of November on their HE tables for FireKeepers Club members....

"At the beginning of each week, any losing hand of an ace high flush or better will be the starter hand for the week. Each time a better hand loses, it will be the new bad beat hand for the week.
PRIZES: Each Friday, $1000 will be given to the top bad beat hand, and $500 will be given to the hand that beat it."

Will this really increase traffic? I mean, a big BBJ draws the fish, but is $1K, only during overnights, handed out days later, really gonna increase traffic? Sounds lame to me.

Man I miss Poto. Does MJ still play the NL there? And does Kimmy still deal? I hope she wasn't the one who got fired.

Last time I was at POTO MJ was there, that was April 2010. Do you remember Big Daddy, the guy who owns the rake back company? I remember him the most because of all his kids.

Kimmy is the blonde right?

You must be talking about the PLO game that I never played in. All the action players left the NLHE games and went to the PLO games. I forget their names.

The Horseshoe also has a different rake system too. They collect I think a big blind from everybody every half hour which I think is more advantagious when it's short handed.

No Kimmy is a skinny black girl. You might be thinking of Kelly who is blond. Big Daddy doesn't ring a bell, but it's been almost a year since I've played there. I used to play the NL game 3-4 times a week up untill about this time last year, so there's a good chance I know who you are talking about. I really suck at names.

MJ was always cool. I always liked talking with him. I was normally at Poto in the early AM hours after I got off of my bartending shift. Sometimes I would stay until 9-10am, or other times I would come in during the afternoon, but I was mainly there between 12am-6am.

You misread the promo. It says midnight monday through 5am friday.Basically they are doing it for people who play during the week. It is suppose to get more weekday traffic.

That would make more sense. It wouldn't be smart to limit the BBJ to the 5-6 tables that play over night. Why don't they just do a normal BBJ like every other casino does?

I played the O/8 game on Sat. I ran badly and in 8 hours of play I walked away up about $60 bucks. This game is so juicy, I just wasn't connecting on spreads, but I was able to stay extremely patient, even though I was wanting to scream because of the idiots at the table that were just hitting their gay ass spreads all night. My only consolation was that most of the idiots were either reloading, or missing value by checking behind the nuts or some stupid ****.

Also, the dealers suck at dealing this game. They are so slow, keep forgetting to deal 4 cards (ok this one is forgivable), but can't figure out how to chop a pot most of the time.(again most of the time the idiot players don't know either, they call in hopes of taking the 6th nut low) Did have a couple that could deal the game well and speedy though.

I had some kids mom hit on me right when I was getting up off the table. She was there with a group and her son was playing poker, as was maybe another guy in her group. Her and her friend were pretty drunk, her friend's husband was there and was telling me he is a football fan but is lucky to get one game per week. Don't even know how the conversation went there. She ended up giving me her card and told me to give her a call next time I am in town. I live in GB so I am not there frequently but my 11 yr old daughter lives down that way. Don't know which way I am going to proceed here.

That's a bit more sensible. I see it on their web site, listed as you say it. But I swear when I got their monthly Ante magazine (already thew it away), it said midnight til 5 AM, Monday through Friday. So either I can't read for comprehension or someone in promotions didn't realize their goof until the magazines went out.
