GL, Dan. You might get some action junkies on the strength of that afternoon being the first Packers game of the year 3:15 PM)... even more so than what will happen with a baseball game earlier in the day.

Nice! I'm still smiling from the 5/10 Omaha game last December. Can't wait, had to give up my regular poker night this week so I'm really really jonesing.

5 table snooze

Just 5 tables going in the whole room? Ouch. I've never seen it that dead. Even on a weekday morning.

I'll do a mini-TR, might have gotten up to 6 tables by 11pm.

3-5NL (2 linked tables)
2-4 and 3-6
Not sure if they got the 1-2NL off the ground.

Started on the 3-5 must move. Should have stayed. NL not my bag and I wanted low stress so when they call me for 3-6 I moved. Big snooze fest followed by dominating hands getting beat time after time after time on turn or river. Very bad play, which sadly included me after awhile (I will admit to playing more for entertainment and hating money last night-happens when you are used to playing for a few hundo vs. 100.)

Anyhoo, was a very soft seeming 3-5 table, probably beatable, but not having a lot of NL cash experience I pussed out.

Not sure how a city the size of Milwaukee can be that dead. Room is doing a bad job of promotions. Plus packer fan is bit obsessed I suppose.

Who would think the weeknights I have played in the past would be so much better than Sunday night?

Ooops forgot that supposedly Montel was playing in the 3-5 main game (according to a dealer). Guy somehow looked to slight to be him but I havent seen his show for years and I think he has MS or something like that, so who knows.

Montel Williams plays 3/5 at the Pot? Who knew?
How are you stuck at Mitchell? The weather has been fine today.

Confirm on the Montel sightings. I was there playing in the 1/2 game on 9-11 and he was sitting in the 5 seat at the 3/5 Main Game.

For Milwaukee, that's as big a celebrity as you get, since Latrell.

There was some talk about the $8/$16 game on here. Is that game still being played?? Any specific days and what time??

Just call in and ask. The floor people will be more than happy to help. For what its worth I think the night time staff is worlds above the daytime.

I called, they said there isn't an exact night that they run the game. They mentioned that the game runs every so often when the right guys are there.

So, in that case, if you guys ever play in it or plan on playing it, let me know or post it up here. I'm probably not going to be playing much cash until after October due to the numerous tournaments at the Circuit Events in Hammond. But I wouldn't mind playing $8/$16 once a week. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesdays, and most Saturdays are good with me.

8/16 is pretty much dead, lasted a few weeks. If you want to play limit its pretty much 3/6, 30/60, or 50/100; only tuesdays and fridays for bigger games. Also there is a new Monday 20-40 that should be going. I won't be playing it, so no idea on how strong it will be.

The last time I was there on a friday night they had a 8/16 going and I talked to some other regulars and they said that every friday the game will be on. The 2 regulars for sure will be there playing. I would also be interested in playing, so if there is ever a anyone going on a friday leave a message on here and I'll head up.

Is there an O8 game running these days? If so, when does it go and at what stakes?

I know on Sat.'s they run a $3/$6 limit game. I believe it starts sometime in the AM and runs until it breaks. I have seen it break around dinner, I have also played in it until past midnight, but had to leave so it didn't break then.

IT runs on Tuesday, too, but the start time is anyone's guess. I've heard of it starting on the morning, only to get there and not see it go until 4:30 or later. But you can find it running at 9 AM on a Saturday. But once the old regs start going to lunch (2 max), and a person or two leaves the game without someone waiting to fill those seats... Game breaks. It'd be funny if I didn't drive so damned far to play. And lord almighty, don't ask that Saturday morning crowd to play a kill pot game...
Gotta wait until the last of 'em goes home at around 10 PM.

You don't have to worry, there as of right now are no more kill games

They brought 'em back like a year ago I thought?? I play NL up there so someone might want to confirm this.

Also, I work Friday nights but maybe if they had a Saturday 8/16 game going I'd play.

They have been gone for about 2 months. I go there quite a bit. They just fired the guy whom most recently ran the room, and while they are getting things in order under the new ragime, they took away the kill pots. They basically wanted to undo everything the last guy did. A dealer told me they would probably have them back, but not until they instatue all there new rules and regulations.

Good to know. I heard nothing but bad things about him. Unfortunately for the next guy, middle aged gamblers who drink will never be happy. Everyone always complains about something in that room.

Not even in the LHE games? That's just a screwy change to make. I mean, what's the motive behind eliminating kill pots? Did they toss the "over" buttons in the garbage, too?

No they still have over buttons because 2 of the 3-6 Limit regulars were playing with 8-16 over buttons one night when I was there. They are the same 2 who always try and get the 8-16 game going on friday nights.

What's the biggest NLHE game running? Last time I was there in July 2009 they have a 5-10 NL game. Anything bigger these days. It was always impossible to get a game larger than 2-5 NL going.

Curious about above also. Can someone update what changes have been made recently other than kill pots being removed? 3/5 still 2-600? Plo going at all?
