For those bashing the old days at poto, keep in mind there used to be 30/60+ 3 days a week 10-20+ the other 2 and all with a 3 dollar max rake and no BBJ. How it appears rare that 30 runs once a week. And while everyone is/was so quick to hate on old floors like Joe he was largely the reason for the games success. As far ad being player friendly he was always very nice in our dealings and bought lunch for me/the game on multiple occasions.

poto has changed their showdown rules for some reason. now if a player is all-in, he must table his hand immediately. i don't like it cuz i think it discourages action.

oh and you can buy the button now from the SB

It hasn't really had much effect so far from what I've seen - plenty of horribad calls with quite embarassing hands.

I understand the fear of the rule discouraging action, but there's also a huge benefit to the rule - I'm sure you know all to well the old moron who goes all-in, refuses to show, and then on the river once he sees the other guy's hand, stares at his hand for 5 minutes, constantly looking back and forth between his cards and the board just to make sure that he didn't somehow manage to get some wierd gutterball straight in there. Complete waste of time, and thankfully now it's not an issue.

The $30 Optional Dealer Toke for the additional 5,000 in chips is available at the time of sign up only.

Do you think that should be taken into account when tipping after you cash. For instance, if would normally tip 3% on winnings. If you cashed for $3,000 and would tip $90, reduce it by the dealer tip you already paid?
I figured they would fudge the number cant blame them they want a sellout. As far as the tip if you dont take 1st you dont have to tip of course you can, but I wouldnt. You really dont have to tip even if you do win. I would do the math on how many dealers how many hours worked and figure something reasonable for them. Knowing dealers and how much they make makes me less sympathetic to them.

Player friendly has nothing to do with how nice the flooor staff is. That went way over your head. Player friendly means they put out the games players want. Now you can make a game and if it fills theyll start it, which is like the opposite of the old days. Joe was super nice, but when theres 1 casino around its nice to be able to play the game you want to. Saying there was 1 table running of 30/60 does nothing for 99% of the players.

I really dislike that rule, but like the other guy said it will speed up the game a little. If someone shoves and you call do you have to show also? Like a tourney

They stopped that a few weeks back. Been 4-5 tables of $1-2 NL on Friday nights.

As far as tipping goes, I've cashed 3 times in the Sundays ($1000,$1400,$200) and have done 3% each time even though there's a $10 dealer add-on there. For this one, 3% of first would be $1000 - eh I'd probably go like 400-500 since there's already $6,000 going in from the $30 add-on.

Of course they're going to exagerate a little bit on the number of sign ups - scarcity is a huge marketing tactic. But I really don't doubt it will fill up. I'll be in the $120 tomorrow so we'll see what they say - my guess is around 150 announced.

Signed up tonight, when I called to ask, they said 15 spots left, I drove up and signed up and there was a sign on the desk saying 40 spots left (but that was crossed out in pen and said 30 spots left). So I'd say it'll probably fill within the week.

$3/$5 HA still running regularly? I saw an interest list when I signed up for the tourney, but it wasn't going.

Or within 48 hours. Was there yesterday afternoon and was told it sold out on Monday. Guess there was a frantic rush of players in the room Monday as spots were going calling/texting their friends to say "Get signed up!".

I take it you were you betting on the 25%?

Any chance they'll have any no shows on the day of which they'd let you fill? Or that they'd add a table? Worth asking, I guess.

Sorry you missed out.
