2/5 is 1k. 5/10 only runs during WSOPc or MSPT but I think it's 2k cap.

Thinking about heading up from Chicago for the MSPT day 1C. How often are the single table satellites running?

Never been to the Pot but have heard great things. Any tips on food in the casino?

Can't speak specifically for Poto, but STSattys are pretty rare, especially for a $350. For a Day 1C you will want to get there plenty early if you aren't registering the day before. These $350 BI events can draw more players than the $1100 do. LOTS of them are re-entries, but they still fill a chair.

It's possible that if some players miss (or bust) the 20% Satty at 900 that they would sign up for a single table at that time. That's a long day of poker to get to Day 2!

Food from the restaurants is excellent, but you will have to wait for it. The food court is adequate and I think both are priced OK as well. I'm not sure which place it came from, bu the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich was huge with the side chips never even coming into my thoughts!

The cash games are excellent, especially during an event like this. Give us a trip report. GL

I'm coming to Milwaukee next weekend and will spend some time at the Pot. (Are we calling it that?) It's my first time, so I don't even have a FK card. Is there a poker rate for the hotel at non-tournament times? I called the room, and the woman who answered the phone acted like I asked her to build a spaceship.

Local, so I don't know much about room rates, but you're probably better off asking the hotel staff than the poker room.

The Poto Bravo site list a couple days(wed & Fri) but with holidays maybe give them a call and ask if it will be the same next week.

Schedule? I've seen Poto have PLO going almost every time I look at it on the Bravo Ap. Definitely call the poker desk to see how consistent the games have been running for sure.

One thing I worry about when they 'post' games is that there is a 'starting lineup' and they get first dibs at the table right up until the game starts. Make sure you find out if that is the case and/or when the list 'actually' starts for the scheduled games. You may be out of luck early as the Players from the previous week may have priority over other Players looking to get into the action. GL

How’s the 20/40 limit game running on Tuesday Thursday? Many active players with guys coming back from sunny climates?

I went to Potowatomi for the mspt. I got here Friday night and was going to get dinner and play some cash games. I played video poker after dinner and won 50$. Then I went to another machine and played some more. I was about to go to the poker room, when I realized I left my left overs by the video poker machine. So I went back and it was still there. Now things get weird. Some drunk guy says I stole his slot ticket. I laugh it off and start walking away. Guy starts yelling for security and follows me. Security came and held me for an hour while they reviewed tapes to see if it was me. They treated me like a criminal for an hour and then come back and say the video showed it wasn’t me and they were sorry. By this point I was steaming mad and no longer wanted to play poker.

I say I want to be compensated for ruining my night on the word of a slurring drunk idiot. I wait another twenty minutes for a lady from guest services. She apologizes and says she would have offered me dinner, but since I had left overs I must have already eaten. Then she said she can give me a 25$ match play. I was so pissed off, I left my dessert there and stormed off promising to never return. I’m not sure what sort of compensation I expected. I already have a hotel booked for the weekend(Hilton) but really don’t want to ever step foot in there again. Main event is tomorrow and Sunday, still not sure if I’ll go back.

Am I being unreasonable?

Obviously a spot no one wants to be in ... typically I'm someone who can look at both sides of things but I'm just going to go off what you've put in your post.

1) An hour seems somewhat OK for this spot, especially during a peak time for the surveillance team.
2) Not sure what 'treated like a criminal' means, but security needs to do what they can to get through the investigation. Not sure the tactics, nor do I want to ever find out, but they need to do their job ... but hopefully understand that you might be telling the truth as well.

3) Not getting food comp was ridiculous just because you already ate. They can put it on your Players Card which is required to play in the tournament. That was very lame unless you didn't inform them that you were going to be there 'all weekend'.
4) The $25, whether in food or matching bet, seems a bit low but I'm not sure how often they go through spots like this either. I would've accepted both a $25 food comp and a $25 matching bet for an hour of my time, but a little bit more would've been nicer.

Obviously your night was turned upside down, but you also have to understand that even the word of a slurring drunk needs to have equal bearing in our society. How you handled it also has a bearing on the comp as well. You knew that you did nothing wrong, so unfortunately you just need to sit back and let things take their course. If security were unprofessional, then that's also something to address with casino administration.

It's 840, go get some breakfast and settle in for a good day of poker. Poto and MSPT run a great tournament. You'll see some of the best tournament Dealers you can find normally.

What you went through is why I don't generally go into the main casino. I play poker. And I can tell you that the staff in the poker room at Poto is typically very good and understanding ... and professional.

It's too bad you didn't book the Poto hotel (but I understand why you didn't, even at the MSPT rate). I'm 100% positive that you would've received at least one night free.

Play well ... and stay away from KQ and AQ .. GL

I went back today to see if they were willing to do anything and they said absolutely no on any comped room in the future and no on any food comps, too extravagant he said. The guy from guest relations said he would see if security could arrange anything and get back to me in a few days. How can security give comps and guest relations can’t? They just don’t care that I was detained for an hour on Friday night, part of the process according to them. Screw this place, they are always packed so I’m sure they won’t miss my business, but I’m done here.

I live about 15 miles from Poto, gamble there sometimes. We all know casinos exist to make money, but it often seems that they don't even want gamblers to enjoy themselves. The tightest casino with comps, drinks, service, etc I have ever seen in my life. I'll give you a few examples.

1. Playing $25 blackjack, security is escorting someone behind us who isn't taking kindly to the treatment. In a fit of anger, knocks drinks over of 3-4 people at our table. Some people get splashed. After it settles down, guy next me who lost his drink and got splashed asks pit boss if we could get a round, pit boss stares at him like he's an alien.

2. Playing let it ride. Pit boss stops game (in middle of hand) and says there was a payout error. Confusion ensues. we aren't allowed to go anywhere for 20 minutes while something gets reviewed. Guy next to me with a higher level card calls pit boss over to complain a bit, mentions the table would appreciate some drinks since we can't go anywhere. Pit boss says he can't authorize it.

3. Most egregious-my friend who doesn't even gamble gets swarmed by security near Bar 360 and accused of stealing something from the slot area that he of course has never been in. Taken aside, treated rudely, and then a stern "you can go" when they realize it wasn't him.

Used to go down there fairly frequently, now its a few times a year.

None of this stuff surprises me. It's a tribal casino. They can literally do whatever they want.

Not true. You cannot sue an Indian casino because they are a sovereign nation.
If you are unjustly back roomed at a state run casino you can sue.

If you have a problem with non "tribal" ("state run") casino, always say, "I am going to SUE this place". Casino personnel will always back off, and you will win dispute. They will also remove handcuffs with those magic words.

I enjoy Potowatomie poker room. I like the new chips vs. 5-10 years ago. Also, I like how you don’t have to go through smoke directly outside of poker room to enter. How much is it going to cost to buy a suite in the new hotel tower?
