Nice design - the rounds in the satellite are 5 mins longer than the rounds of the tourney. I'm still gonna play in it.

well those are full table STTs as opposed to the tournament, which is HU. still a terrible structure. and i doubt they get the full 64 people.

I like that 3rd and 4th place in a HU tourney make different amounts of money....

edit: nm, didnt realize a "third place match" was a real thing

I once asked the front desk about something lower than the 5/5 and 5/10 but got shot down. Given that O8 is in the room already, they ought to consider PLO8...

I've probably played PLO8 4-5 times there and 1/2 pot PLO8 once or twice. If people want to play it, they would probably spread it.

If you go there on grave shift with enough players to start a certain game they seem to be open to running any game thats requested

*within their charter*

they CAN'T run games that aren't pre approved. so no chinese, no pinneapple, no draw games, etc...

but they'll run w/e you want for hold 'em, omaha, and stud provided you bring the players and they have dealers

Would anybody be interesting in coming in late night for a 2 2 plo game? Doesn't have to be tonight just looking if there is interest and what would be good times for people.

5-5 game was huge last night stacks of 8k, 7k, 6k, 5k and everyone except one guy over 1k had to be 30k on the game i walked by a few times there was a lot of action

Bender,
Would love to see a 1/2 or 2/2 PLO8 game at the Pot... Send me a PM or, better yet, post here if you have prospects of getting one started.

they've adjusted the buy-ins to 500-1500 so it's playing much deeper.

Another crappy attempt at running tournaments by poto. Why can't they just run a normal $230 MTT with a good structure??

There's always some curveball like the Firekeepers challenge and the HU. They do tournaments like some 19 year olds. Have a good tournament with deep structures once a month or every few months and people will play.

It seems like they're allergic to doing anything that might be the least bit player friendly.

What do you guys think the chances are they sell out that HU tourney?

Poto poker room manager, if you are reading, do this.

1st Saturday of every month as opposed to last Saturday of every month like the Horseshoe have a $100 or $200 tournament. No more, no less.

Give everyone 10k in chips and set the blinds at 30 minutes.

Blinds

1. 25-50
2. 50-100
3. 100-200
4. 150-300
5. 150-300 25
6. 200-400 25
7. 300-600 50
8. 400-800-50
9. 600-1200- 100
10. 800-1600- 200
11. 1000-2000- 200
12. 1200-2400- 300
13. 1500-3000- 300
14. 2000-4000- 400
15. 3000-6000- 600
16. 4000-8000- 600
17. 5000-10000-1000
18. 7000-14000-1000
19. 10000-20000 2000
20. 15000-30000-5k

If you get 100 guys it'll probably be less then 10 hrs til a chop is in place. Pay 10 percent of the field. Start the tournament at 1pm so that the 20 somethings are awake. Start registration Friday at noon. Make sure the structure is right so people want to play. People don't want a $200 crapshoot.

If the blinds are too long. Make them 25 minutes. That'll cut it down an hour. Do a tournament right for cripes sake.

If anyone on here can think of a way to improve the structures or even actually get POTO to do something like this, I'd love to hear it.

They have what, 18 tables?? 10 for tournament, 2 for 2/4, 2 for 3/6, 2 3/5 NL, 1 1-1-2, and 1 whatever interest game is running.

By 6 pm the tourney will be down to 3 tables and the cash games will be at a premium because of all the tournament players.

The poker room will be super busy all night because of it! Summer is coming up and that's when the dealers complain that the room is dead. Well this might be a good way to get a huge Saturday crowd. Sundays there are way to many tournaments online for MTT players to want to play in this.

1 time!

lol

zero chance he reads this. even if he did, it wouldn't make him run a tournament. it's b/c they don't make enough money from them. i'd love to see it, but they're just never going to do anything beyond their quaterly promo tournaments.

and if you really want to make a suggestion, it's prolly better to physically mail your requests to the poker room manager. at least that way he'll read it.

100 guys play 60 guys that don't normally play on Saturdays and 30 that will play cash games on Saturdays that normally don't. Action after the circuit event are insane! Man I wish they would do a tournament that would draw some people.

Contact poker room manager if you want good tournaments. I'm copy and pasting the post I just had with the structure and everything.

Never say never. First it was "They'll never spread $1/$2 NL". Then it was "They'll never have more than 1 table". Then it was "They'll never lower the $8 rake" - this one is just a rumor right now though.

I'd love to play a monthly or bi-monthly $200 tourney there.
