Thank you. I was talking to a floor person and she said they would probably run satellites in the weeks leading up to the event but the WSOP ppl govern that and the casino would be the last to know. Would like to win a seat before the games actually start running.

If they do run sattys for non-ME events they would be within 48 hours of the Day 1 (sometimes only morning of) each event. ME sattys (certainly 1 table SnGs) should be available daily once they get to town. WSOPc runs pretty much the same from site to site, so if you've been to Hammond it should look/feel pretty much the same. GL

Best of luck. The only event(s) I can really see myself playing are #2 or #11. I don't think I will want to take off work to play in the other tournaments and my bankroll isn't that large anyway.

Unless I go on a heater between now and Feburary, haha.

Yeah I'm in the same boat. Will probably play #2 and ME but thats it. Im currently on a decent run. 3 sessions has me over half way to both of those events. We'll see. Good luck to you.

Looking to head up to the Pot to play some limit ( Limit junkie) on Sunday and Monday before heading back to the NW Burbs on Tuesday.
How are the games during these times? I assume busy on Sunday and slow on Monday?

Should be a game on Sunday. You might get a game in the morning on Monday with the OMCs.

Yeah, there will definitely be a few limit games running on Sunday.

Should be at least one Monday starting after 9-10am.

Know there's not been one before, but during circuit stop there will be 5/10+ nl cash going, correct? Have to take a trip back home (Rockford, IL area) from Mexico between Jan and Mar and might do it during this time so I can combine the trip with some poker

Can't get the pot site to work for me ATM, thanks in advance for any info

Who knows. It never goes during MSPT events.

Hard to say. There was a game of 5/10 PLO running last night that was super action packed though.

Seems highly unlikely that 5/10+ NL games will run. Instead, there will be like 5 2/5 games with big stacks running, that would probably be better games than 5/10 anyway.

I agree with this. The WSOPc following is a bit deeper than the MSPT from what I gather. There is always 1-2 'extra' 5-10 games running in Hammond when the WSOPc is there as opposed to the HPT events. I suppose that the HPT player might be a bit deeper than a MSPT player as well .. hard to tell. GL

Have has anyone seen people run it more than once on an AI situation at 1/3 or 2/5?

No. What I heard is the gaming commission apparently didn't understand what running it twice was so they didn't approve it. Poto had a sign on the front desk that it was going to be in place November of last year...

That's annoying. Gotta love the gaming commission.

I've got a free flight and hotel reimbursement credits from Delta Airline which expire 2/13, so was thinking of coming up for the WSOPC - looking at events 4/6/7 the week before that expiration.

I assume staying at the Pot is the best idea - also looks like it has a couple of decent restaurants inside. It will be my first time there, and first time in Milwaukee. Going to get together with an old friend while I am in town too. Any recommendations for restaurants/bars in the local vicinity within 10-15 min of the Pot?

I know the WSOPC event will be ran in a different ballroom by a different group, but when I am in the poker room for cash game, any weird/local rules I should know before I show up? Every place seems to have one.

Maybe I'll run into some of you out there.

I'll let others comment on restaurant/bar recommendations because I don't go downtown very often.

As for weird local rules though, you will have to get your first buy-in of chips at the cage but then you can re-buy at the table as required. For some reason it is pretty much standard etiquette to chop any and all blind vs blind situations. The exception is if you have a potential BBJ hand (SC's, PP) you say "flamingo" and then both blinds basically agree to check through all streets.

Can't think of anything else right now. Hope you enjoy your stay though!

Oscar's for a really good burger at a casual/divey bar. But Ruyi, the sports bar, italian place that used to be wild earth, and canal street cafe inside are all solid.
