Thank god it won't be in the 1/3 game. Imagine how slow it'd go. We're talking a few hundred bucks. Probably should only be for 5/10 and higher. Since 2/5 has 1k buy now I'll let it slide this time.

I've played at a couples places that run it twice and it doesn't seem to happen to often so it intends not to slow down the game to bad. The place I played at they just pulled rakes out of the main pot. I haven't been there and read there paperwork but in guessing that's what it means.

I think BradleyT said it happened in Vegas (didn't see it when I last went). I can't remember the last time I ran it twice actually. Thought that was only on episodes of HSP.

They had it at Venetian on PLO this summer, not sure about their hold em. if your table is constantly running it twice its probably a pretty high action game.

Probably about the same time it takes to explain to someone who doesn't know what chopping the blinds is. Which is why I usually just let them limp the SB and play it, the hand ends quicker than the explanation.

It's not a strict rule but most places let 5/T+ do whatever they want.

I've played in a couple home games with the guy who lost the hand. Unfortunately he doesn't seem like the type to donate it all back into the poker economy, but he is a nice guy.

Got to see the presidential suite on top of the hotel last night. Pretty friggen sweet. It has a nice big table with 7 or 8 chairs and a pretty good sound system that would be great for a rake free game. Only problem is you can't plan it ahead of time because you don't know when they're going to upgrade you to that.
