That's it in the major Portland area, right?
I'm not ready to play live again but I'm curious how the games are being run. 6-handed, everyone masked I assume? Any other changes?

There is the Last Frontier in La Center, about 20 miles north of the Washington border. They reopened for about 2 weeks in July, then the state government made them close down again.

No they are all mostly 9 handed with everyone wearing masks. At least Final Table and Portland Meadows. I think Portland Meadows have a limit on capacity.

Any updates on rooms in Portland? I'm thinking I'll be up there soon and will be looking to splash around.

A friend played at The Game (West side Portland) this past week. 8-handed, plexiglass barriers, masks required, and I think they closed early.

Meh. I have a good home game that still runs, so I haven't been desperate enough to play in the clubs recently.

Thanks! That's the only one I've ever played at. I googled before I made the post, and I gleaned that it isn't open at all. I guess I was mistaken.

I think The Game uses their Facebook page for updates.

There is a NW Poker Facebook group that all the clubs spam with their schedules.

Playing 9-handed in Meadows?

How are the weekend cash games, long wait?

Did you end up making it down?
All clubs are open. They are typically closing at 10-11pm. Meadows has a hard cap of 50 people in the room right now so get there early if planning on playing on a weekend.

If you're referring to me, yes, I played 3 days at Meadows. Really loved it.

Did Portland fall back to 50 people? It was 100 people just few weeks ago.

I haven't been to the poker rooms lately, but last week Multnomah County went back into the "high risk for Covid" group which cut back on the max number of people that can be in restaurants, I believe from 100 to 50, so I'm assuming the poker rooms have the same rules. It's reevaluated every two weeks I believe.

Due to COVID restrictions, looks like all the rooms will be shut down on Friday for at least 2 weeks.

Can anyone give someone new to the area the run down on cash games in Portland or within driving 60-90m driving distance of Portland?

Primarily looking for 2/5 NL or higher.

I tried looking at the various Portland poker websites and most of the sites redirect to inactive domain messages or are horribly out dated.

Or at least a list of active clubs in 2021 that spread NL cash?

Thanks all

Google NW poker Facebook group and you can find pretty much all the latest information you need there.

These 2+2 threads are fading quick.

It’s a public group and you can read it without FB account.

I'm finding links on google but anything I click doesn't work. Could you post a link?

Works fine for me without FB account. Sounds like you have a cookie issue. Go into incognito mode.

There are games now at Stadiums in Milwaukie. It's NL HE with tournaments at night. I don't really know the schedule since I've gone only a couple of times and only on a Sunday.

http://www.stadiumssportsbar.com

And they have an Omaha mixed game on Sundays at noon! Woo hoo hoo!

I was there last month and played exclusively at Portland Meadows. That room has awesome potential, they should use Texas Card House as their model. They're already doing double-board bomb pots, which is a great start. Investing a little bit back into the aesthetics of the environment would probably help to draw more casuals and out-of-town visitors in.
