(19+25/3)/19 = 44% rake increase or,
(19+25/3-2.5)/19 = 31% rake increase after rake back if you spend it on food

As far as my eating habits are concerned it's closer to a 85% rake increase.
A regular person does NOT eat every 3 hours. Unless you consider being morbidly obese regular. Or you’re a body builder. You can have snacks then, but to order full meals every 3 hours is 100% not the norm.

That being said... what is the rake anyways?
Playground was always my favorite place to go for tourneys 1-2x a year and I’ll still do that. I’m not a local for cash games so I can’t speak on the rake behalf. I always recommended PG to everyone in update NY for 1) tourneys 2) competent staff 3) very good dealers 4) clean environment 5) 10/10 women.

Prob been there 10 times in my life and only played cash 2-3 times. Always heard how bad rake was but never really thought of it much as I didn’t grind cash.

At 1/2 it's 10%, $9 max + $2 for promos
2/5 5/5 is $15max + $2

Outside of a poker table at Playground, do "regular men" eat a steak or salmon, with 2 sides, every 3 hours?

How are the cash games looking so far with WSOP in town? Many more tables than usual?

Just played here during the week.

Games are very soft. French Canadian players are the worst in the world. However rake here is also among the worst in the world. It’s like that age old question about the unstoppable force meeting the immovable object. I played and won pots though it seemed like my stack barely changed at all. After about 10 hours of grinding I was up 200 but it seemed like I was really stuck in limbo for a while.

Anyone doing a poker house near playground? Mid to high stakes PLO player looking for a poker house. Preferably with other PLO players that play 2/2, 5/5 and 10/10 PLO.

Also play mtts from time to time.

Rake is $9 + $2 promo for 1/2, and $15 + $2 promo for 2/5. What is it at Casino Montreal?

Can someone of you working at PG confirm that you will show the boxing fight (Canelo vs Kovalev) tomorrow night?

To be clear, the rake at 2/5 and 5/5 is $15 max, but it's 5% instead of the 10% you see at 1/2. Still crazy high, but slightly less worse than 10% $15 max.

In the case of the WPT, we use a payout formula they have established. For our own events (including all side events during the fall classic) it's our own payout schedule but it's very similar to WPT Payout formula B in most respects.
Is this still the true for USA players in Canada?
I will be in Canada next month for 2 weeks what Casinos poker series should I visit/participate?

Sooo.. Debating heading up for weekend soon for other obligations. Any updates on this spot? I'd be looking to play PLO exclusively. I realize the rake is high. How are the games? Will PLO run 24/7 Friday-sunday? Best strategy for exchanging USD? Any recs for places to stay?
