Harrah's Philly (still in Chester) closed their poker room last year during the pandemic and then decided to close it permanently. It's been gone from Bravo for quite some time.

ok then, running thru maybe 20-30k a day in USD is far worse.

But it takes a $1 to earn 1 point (and more $ if VP or electronic table game), so his post was accurate.

I played this afternoon, which meant paying $25 on the way in for parking.

I played more than enough to get the 300 tier credits, but the people at the rewards desk didn't know what I was talking about when I asked for the above reimbursement. All they're doing is giving an equivalent amount of slot play, which isn't the same thing.

Did I ask at the wrong desk, or is the system we were being told about in this forum not in effect?

I was afraid of this

They did have signs that said if you made 100 dollar bet you get free parking

But this is going to be a problem for them

If I got there and realized I had to pay 25 dollars to park I would leave and go to Rivers

Parking cost just going to scare the nits away. If you have a red (lowest level card) you get reimbursed in slot play so you're really just required for run $25 through slots or make a $100 sports bet. If you have any higher card it's free and they match with Philly and AC casinos through end of May.

I understand everything you wrote - this is, as I pointed out, a different system from what was previously mentioned in this thread, that's all.

That parking fee is gonna turn many people away for real. I know the biggest degens who will lose thousands in the pit without batting an eye but if you make them pay for parking you actually just created an excellent motivator for them stop gambling. They say it’s the principal or something. Or there just cheap

Does anyone know the current rules for the Bad Beat Jackpot? I can't find it anywhere: rules, qualifying hands, nothing. I tried calling a couple of times, but no one picked up. Thank you in advance! I've read casually here every once in a while, but time to make my first post

Hi! Thanks for your question and I'm sorry the phone hasn't been answered when you have called.

The Mega Bad Beat is paid out as 50% to the loser of the hand, 25% to the winner of the hand and 25% split amongst the rest of the players at the table. An absent player IS eligible as long as they have not yet missed a blind.

The minimum qualifier is Quad J's beaten. Both hole cards must play and quads must use a pocket pair. There needs to be $10 minimum in the pot, including rake and jackpot drops.

The room also offers a Mini Bad Beat. It is paid out as $1000 to the loser of the hand, $500 to the winner of the hand, and $100 to each active player at the table. Again, an absent player IS eligible as long as they have not yet missed a blind.

The minimum qualifier is Ace's full of Ten's. For the Mini, both hole cards must play, but you do not need a pocket pair for quads (kicker must play. A kicker that ties the board qualifies). Also, for Ace's full, players must have at least one Ace in their hole cards. (ex - AAA23 on board, Players have QQ and KK...This does NOT qualify).

I think this covers most of the basics, please let me know if you have further questions regarding the bad beat!

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me! I am new to the area and it sounds like it's a new casino, so I'm sure there's still work to do. But that all makes total sense. Does the bad beat get easier to hit as time goes on or will it always be Quad Jacks? The mini bad beat is a nice bonus as well. Thanks again!

As of now, there are no plans to lower the Bad Beat Qualifier. Check us out on the Bravo Poker Live App for details pertaining to promotional material. We look forward to having you in the room.

I played in the room for the first time this Saturday.
I played a pretty long session from 1:30 pm until 2:30 am.

I really liked the room a lot.
The dealers did a good job, the floor broke up a few player arguments.

I work in the Stadium district, so I literally work less than 2 miles away.
I cannot wait to play here in the fall when things return to normal and drunken Eagles fans find their way to the poker room.

Hopefully I can figure out the parking situation.
I didn't pay Saturday, however the $25 causes concern.

Planning my first trip this weekend I have a few questions:

How does the $1-3 play compared to Rivers or Parx?

Is it $25 to park if the phillies/sixers are playing?

Bad Beat hit - (damn it!!) is it reset?? I called and they said it's just $0 but they have a royal flush thing? Do they still collect $7 rake and have no bad beat or high hands??

If that's true - what is rake in PLO?
