Borgata has ~2800 rooms. Philly Live has 208. Just something to keep in mind.

As I stated earlier in the thread, I earn about 10k points per trip on slots, and the best I can get is a discounted room at 149 + crazy taxes and fees as a platinum card.

Since I ripped them earlier, let me say that promo money going out 24 hours a day is awesome. It always bugged me to play late and pay a drop for nothing and with my schedule they'll get a lot of late night play from me.

Can my tier credits and benefits form Maryland Live roll over to Philly Live? I get room offers year round for Maryland but have no use for them since I have a house near by but can use a room in Philly on my next trip

Quick questions guys

Water Bottles - allowed to bring in filled?
Also drinks in the poker room available?
How is the room temp - Siberia cold or reasonable?
Leaving Table for Food. 30 Mins? 2 BB Buttons?
8 Handed tables without plexi?

I don't think any casinos permit customers to bring in their own drinks. But water and all drinks are free in the poker room (minus a generous tip, of course).

Room temp is generally pretty decent. Plan to bring a hoodie and likely wear it, though I find the temperature to be rather consistent. There are a couple of chilly spots under vents, but otherwise I find the room relatively comfortable.

Leaving the table for food is a great question. I think it's generally 30 minutes, but I've seen a few liberal interpretations of this policy. I don't know of the exact rule -- but, again, I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be 30 mins.

All tables are 8-handed, no plexi. Hand sanitizer available at the front. Some dealers were masked, some players masked ... but 100% optional throughout.

Solid floor, good dealers.

Joe,

Has a dinner list been considered? The 30 minute limit isn't really enough to get food at any of the restaurants.

We do realize that 30 minutes is a short period of time to be away. At this time we are not offering a dinner list, but that doesn't mean its off the table for the future.

The best advice I can give you - If you are going to be away for a meal, take your chips with you. Before you leave the room, ask the room attendant to put you on the list as a call in. That will give you an hour, and when you return, you will be at/near the top of the list.

I'm not playing 4 handed or less unless the rake is $1 per pot, no promo $.

You want super short handed action come see me at PLO or 5-10 NLH.

I’m sure you’re a big spender at the casino.

I see on Bravo that Philly Live has begun to run tournaments and am thinking of going there. Are they getting many entrants ?

I see that Live! is adapting the Harrah's Chester tournament school of thought by holding them every day. PM tourneys are only Monday-Wednesday, however, and the buy-ins are higher than they used to have there - they run from $100-220 whereas Chester's were mostly under $100 if memory serves.

I may be biased because I actually like donkaments, but I think this is a good strategy since Parx and Rivers only have tournaments 2-3 days a week. Until Delaware Park starts doing dailies again, they will be the only place in the area for tournaments on the regular.

I was gonna do the Rivers tourney tomorrow but I think it would be fun to see the turn-out and how the staff handles the inaugural PM tournament at Live... Will do a report if i do.

The start of tournaments is great, but I fear that without a guarantee people won't show up.

The bounty aspect could help lure more people to enter. Even at borgata I don’t remember the daily’s having a guarantee

Which is why they sometimes didn't go off. But I have now heard Rivers is doing the same thing and doing well and I'm sure they'll pull a lot of players from there.

Is anybody there now? How many did they get for the morning tourney? I'm going to be there for tonight's unless the cash is too good.

Yea sometimes them evening tourneys had like 10 entrants lol. And yea that would be a good update, if there’s a good turnout I’ll stop by one of these days haven’t played a tourney since 2020

I was there yesterday afternoon through last night. I believe the a.m. tourney had 92 runners. Not sure about the p.m., but first was like 1.9k, if I recall.

The PM tournament had about 75 runners (I may be off one or two in either direction). It paid the top nine.

I finished in 17th place not long after combining to two tables. Busted shoving AT with 10 BB left into Jacks. I was UTG and we were nine-handed so not sure if it was the right play (someone with charts can edify me). That was one level after I was crippled when I put the same guy who busted me all-in on the turn as a 4 to 1 favorite but lost; win that and I am in good shape to cash. Oh well.

The tournament was run just fine especially for the first one their night crew did. All entrants received a Live beach blanket - mine will serve as a blanket for my wife on long car trips.

After the tournament I played some $1/3 until the first high hand period ended at midnight and won $170 so my net for the night was +$70.

I hear that Rivers' $130 tournament at the same time had nearly three times as many entrants. It will be interesting to see if that kind of disparity continues or if Live can close the gap once word of their daily tournaments gets out a little more.

70 entries in the tourney tonight. That's awesome for just the 2nd night.

Im looking to play the Saturday $220 August 7th when the Phillies play at home. Is it correct that if I park 4 hours before the game starts (4:05) I will not have to pay the $25? TIA
