I went yesterday not knowing there was an Eagle preseason game (evidently the Eagles didn't know either!) and the parking cost jumps up to $40 for Eagles games unless you have a better than basic card (of course they stopped matching cards right after I got Platinum at CET).

That was a bit of a surprise. They try and make up for it with $50 in slot play and another $25 if you come back within the week (I may or may not take advantage of that). Also got a $10 food comp that I used, a discount at the gift shop that I didn't, and a choice of a hat, shirt, or bag (I went with the hat).

I put the free slot dollars into a machine with $100 and left with $75 (-$25).

I played $1/3 for an hour before the tournament started (+$35).

I did not cash in the tournament that had I think 26 players (somewhere around there) nor did I win a bounty. Lost a big pot against someone whose boat beat my straight; got crippled when I got it in with AK preflop against three other players - super shorty had K9, other shorty had QJ, big stack also had AK; flop had two Queens. Shoved my last $5900 in blind in the HJ with only the BB big stack who called. I actually had A2 and was ahead of his Q9 but he flopped a Queen and I was done. (-$120).

Overall while I like that they are trying to give people a lot for the inconvenience of paying to park, had I known that was the case I would have done the Rivers tournament taking place at the same time. Being $40 in the hole before even getting into the casino felt terrible.

if it's pot rake i'd agree you're getting scammed but while i appreciate paying half time even if you don't you're getting a lot more hands for the same amount of money.

I'm sorry I didn't get back to you earlier than this... I start work at 11pm right now.

The AM tournament on Tuesdays has been averaging ~40 people

The PM tournament on Tuesdays has been averaging ~60 people

I like playing at tables where the pots are contested as multi-way as possible. I like cold callers, I like many limpers, I like 4+ players seeing the flop. I dont like 8-handed. 9-handed is better for cash games at 2-5 and below. If I wanted to play heads up pots all day, I'd play on PokerStars PA.

Usually 2 sometimes 3 $2/5 per night. Games are fine. No $1/2, just $1/3 as lowest limit.

I played here last night (Tuesday 10/19). First visit and first live poker since the pandemic started. I played 1/3 for 4 hours - in for $400 and out for $1700. It was remarkably profitable session.

I liked the poker room. Found it spacious and comfortable. Action was good and I got very lucky with some of the hands that I hit. Did not observe any real issues but it seemed like the floors were attentive. Drink service was fine although I had no idea (first time playing in PA) that there was a 2AM last call and you can't have a drink in front of you after that.

Besides poker, I also played roulette for 4 hours. Surprised that roulette tables were so packed even with a $25/spin minimum at 5PM. Dealers and floors were nice here as well.
I can't complain when my numbers hit that much. Also, had dinner at Prime Rib and it was delicious. Seared scallops and a perfectly cooked filet. I would eat that steak every day if I could.

Looked like the $450 got a lot of runners. I was keeping tabs on the payouts on bravo for a bit last night. Any chance the full payout schedule can get posted here? Or a summary on your website/Bravo?

So I'm gonna rant. I played at Rivers yesterday in the 11:15am tournament. I knocked out two players in the same hand in the first 15 minutes (humble-brag We then played five handed for over an hour while there were 3 seven handed tables and a six handed table. We asked them to balance several times, and they refused, saying it was their rule that they wouldn't balance unless the difference was more than two. I can certainly understand this in a big tournament with a lot of tables, otherwise the TD's would spend most of their time on it. But in a room with 5 tables running you can't take 30 seconds to move one player? It made no sense, and I felt they were quite rude about it. I have NEVER raised my voice in a poker room, and this was the thing that did it. Am I wrong here, or is it fair to have one table play short handed for such a long time? (Not to mention the lack of customer service). The game of poker is entirely rooted in fairness and an equal playing field for all - I just didn't think it was fair. Interested in other people's opinions.

I know the poker room rep is on here. If this is the actual rule, can you explain to me the reasoning behind the rule? If there is a legitimate reason for it then I'll stand corrected. However, I wasn't given a reason the rule exists, just "that's the rule". Thanks.

Hi!

Obviously I can't speak to your experience at another casino, so I will just go to our procedures.

Generally, in our tournaments, unless we are down to the final 2 tables, we keep the tables balanced to within 2 players. There are ALWAYS extenuating circumstances, including playing short for an extended period of time. Being so early into the tournament when you became short, I can understand one of our TDs not moving someone immediately as registration is happening and usually someone registers rather quickly. I would expect our TD to use his/her judgment when an extended period happens so early in a tournament not to have a play short for long.

The TDA rules does not specifically include a rule about how to balance other than "play may halt when a table is 3 or less players than another..." We try to minimize disruptions to play for any players. Moving a player is definitely an interruption, but there are times that it is necessary.

Im sorry there isn't really a hard and fast rule, but it is a fairly common procedure followed by many casinos that run tournaments.

Since there are ALWAYS extenuating circumstances, I'm hard pressed to find out why this wasn't one of them. I can certainly understand them waiting a few minutes during registration for someone to come, but they waited over an hour. And when someone came in, they seated him at the 6 table, saying that he was assigned there by the computer. So if there ISN'T a hard and fast rule, than I think it falls on the TD to do what's in the best interest of the game (and the customers), rather than insisting "this is the rule".

I appreciate your prompt feedback. I just hope the TD's will consider moving a player in a situation like this in the future.
