No idea if there is a thread started already but I can't find one so I figure I'd post something. Anybody have any Info on it? As of now I know there will be a poker room a hotel attached and it supposedly is opening end of 2020.

Might be a little early to share any information especially since we don't have a lot. Somewhere between 23-30 Tables

Thanks

Mike

Are you going to be involved in the room Mike, or just have info from the Live! connection?

Nice location. Seems to be a trend of building casinos right next to downtown stadiums, such as Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Cleveland.

I'll have some involvement. There will probably be some of the MLC staff transferring as many of our team members are from that area.

Thanks

It doesn't appear that they are publicly stating anything more specific than opening in 2020.

Any idea if comped rooms will be offered/available?

I live in NYC and play at Borgata almost exclusively because of the free rooms. I don't want to make a 2hr+ trip and then have to head back home the same day.

If there are comps rooms, and comped drinks, this will become my new home base. I am sure a lot of people feel the same way.

I'd be shocked if they give either of those things away to poker players. theyll have tons of games and customers.

Will my comps from Maryland Live transfer over? Or special offers for me being a Maryland Live reg in the poker room and the table games?

There is a lot of competition nearby. They'd be dumb not to comp drinks, that's purely a good business move, regardless.

this is nice to hear...............Because initial indications we heard was that a poker room may not be in the immediate plans for that particular location;
well at least not right away( Dec 2020 open)!

Is opening still on target for the end of 2020?

We had a minor delay during the quarantine, and now expect to open in the first part of January

Thanks

It seems strange to even think about live poker in Philly since there's nothing within a couple hours drive from here because of COVID-19 but the Live! Casino & Hotel that is still being built posted the following job listing:

Director of Poker

The casino is supposedly going to have a 33-table poker room making it the second biggest poker room in the Philadelphia area (AC notwithstanding) and the Live! people run a great room in Maryland so it promises to be a big player in the area.

I thought if they're hiring a poker room manager that it was a good time to open an anticipation thread to track developments and rumors as the casino and poker room make the moves to open up.

It's still located in PA, so hopefully the PGCB will give the green light for poker to reopen by then, otherwise we're still SOL

Let's hope that in 4-6 months, things will change. I just booked a flight to Vegas because I don't see any of the local East Coast rooms reopening until 2021.
