fwiw i've played at the rivers 1/3 PLO and it runs like that and is awesome
1) the 1-3-5 structure makes it way easier for the dealers+players to count pot, none of the dealers have problems and action moves swiftly
2) it creates way more pf action without the regs bartering for a $5 blind bet, but its still listed at 1-3 PLO with a $100 min, so it still brings in the small stakes recreational players
3) theres no max buy in b/c "who needs a max its only pot limit" (lol)- also awesome
its a small room and they rarely get NL games >2/5, the PLO is the biggest nightly game in the room

I try to make the Borg. PLO whenever possible. When it's not 2/5, which it rarely is, I'm always the first to suggest the 1/2 be 1/2/5. The $5 bring-in bet, without doubt, juices pots much quicker, and, like this poster says, the 1/2 aspect definitely entices the fish.

Nothing official but its run every Wed-Sat the past few weeks and the occasional Monday or Tuesday.

There's no need to ask these kinds of questions anymore about Parx. Check the first post of this thread for an unofficial compilation of Parx's live game reports. You can see EXACTLY when PLO ran; there's no need to guess or generalize anymore.

EDIT to add: there has been no mention of Parx officially setting a time for PLO to start.

Sounds like a plan. I can get there 530-6pm. If we can get 3-4 more by then it will definitely go. I will play short to get it started.

Do they ever get O/8 going or is it just PLO. I just got back from the rivers in Pittsburgh. First time there. Went for Steelers/Jets game on Sunday and played poker Sat night. What a nice poker room. They had both O/8 and PLO going.

ARI, havn't seen any updates on DEC 22nd, is everything on schedule to expand to more tables??

Preston and Steve from MMR will be there 6-10am tomorrow to cut the ribbon and do a live broadcast. Of course, the ad on the radio said pending approval etc in fastspeak but thats a given.

Yea I'm still in, the only day where I'm going to be able to go this week as well. That's already 4 people so shouldn't be too hard to get a decent game for a least a few hours.

I'm there for sure and I got 2 more when i texted people, plus its the expansion day and they'll be having local media there, so I think its safe to say PLO is definitely a go for Tomorrow night!

I'm not in tomorrow night to play PLO, but will be playing 1-2 NLHE before work tomorrow morning, 5:30 until 8:00 AM, and checking out the radio show.

First floor expansion will open tomorrow morning at 10:00 AM, right after the WMMR's Preston and Steve radio show.
