Re: PARX Poker Thread

Question for Ari. In split pot games when action is heads up. Shouldn't the dealers leave the bets in front of players to speed up game? They do this in most other casinos that ive played in but not here. Just asking sir

The casino is doing u a favor anyway it will cost u 50 to get a dwi now instead of it being free

For what it's worth I went to pocono downs when they opened showed my Foxwoods poker black card I was given a elite card by the casino and that gets u free drinks everywhere in the casino....ask management that at parxs see what they do....I don't drink so it doesn't make a difference to me
?? Sounds more like you're the one who works there.
Lets face it - one of the reasons this thread is so popular (besides Ari doing a good job and it generally being a well run room) is the lack of options in the area to go elsewhere. It's just not feasible for many of us to go to AC much less Connecticut during the week. If Harrah's Chester can give free drinks I don't see how it's unreasonable to ask dive-bar prices at the very least.

Re: PARX Poker Thread

If parx is doing good and is killing the compitition then why give free drinks....not really to sure drinks will improve rake so I agree not to have free drinks all it benifits is the nits.....

On a side note since parx is a horse racing venue they are absolutely crushing the surrounding racetracks in terms of handle and field size....but u grinders don't no that...all u know is variance and how tipping dealers an waitresses and paying for drinks drives down the win rate

All in all I love the room nothing better then to get up and watch a race while playing cards

Bad Beat:

Walk out to my car early this morning in the Parx Lot and some Jerk had smashed up the side of it. No note of course. Merry Christmas!

Security said they would check the cameras, but the odds of them picking up a plate when it happened are slim to none, imo.

yeah, I do, but if you've ever filed a claim on your collision you know, its not really insurance, its a loan they get back from you 3 times over in the form of jacked up rates. The damage will probably be just about what my deductable is anyway so I'll probably end up paying it.

Well, If the total damage is about your deductable, then is not worth the claim.

This should fall under comprehesive part of insurance and since its not your fault, the premimum might not go up.

Which part of the lot did you park?

Thats what I thought but the lady I spoke to at Allstate said it was collision.

I was parked at the front of the lot, on the side closest to the main casino.

Re: PARX Poker Thread

When my car got hit in a lot my rates did not go up (I have All State as well). If the car gets hit while unoccupied/parked all you have to do is pay deductible and not worry about rates going up.

Also, you would be shocked what casino parking lot cameras can see. If they really want to do the work 'check the cameras' they will find the culprit.

I sure hope so. Parx Security took my info and said they'd be in touch with me. No call from them today, so I'm doubtful that they'll actually follow up, but who knows stranger things have happened.

Long story short. A coworker of mine found a $1200 voucher on the floor at Chester a few months ago. He took it to the redemption machine, got the $1200 walked around for the casino for about an hour while I played video poker.

When I was ready to leave we got in my car and left.

Next morning Chester police called me asking who 'the black male was that got into the car with me' They followed him walking around the casino the whole time, into the parking lot, and into my car, where they ran my tags.

I told them he worked for me and the officer said "Oh you own xxxx company?!" That threw me for a loop that he knew where I worked and what I did... (Shows the gov't knows a lot more than we think and have info so readily available its borderline scary).

So if Parx security can't get you any info on someone who hit your car, they are full of poop. It also raises a whole nothing concern, are you really safe in the parking lot?

He did return the money, with no reprocussions. Law is you have to turn in the money, wait 7 days for it to not be claimed and then it is yours.

Re: PARX Poker Thread

How busy do you guys think the room will be next Fri Dec 24 (Christmas Eve)??

I realize it would be a guess/speculation (as the room wasn't open last Dec) but humor me. I'm thinking busy all day into the early evening and dying off around 7 or 8pm?

My family doesn't do Christmas eve (we just get together on Christmas) so I'm thinking of grinding from like 11am-8PM or so.

For everyone's ease of use just in case you don't want to bookmark it, I'm going to put the following link to the unofficial game reports tracker...

http://www.taeyeonkim.com/parx/

...in the OP of this thread.

Isn't there an actual PARX live game report too?

I like the one above but it's kinda rough to look at.

If you wouldn't mine adding the other one to the OP, that would be fantastic.

sounds like you lost one more buy-in than you thought....or won, 1 less buy-in than you thought. Hope it was the latter.

They serve two different purposes, the tracker is sooooo good for seeing when a certain game goes and for how long.

Not to derail, but pretty sure (not 100%, so don't quote me) your buddy was taken advantage of here. By common law this is probably his and he did nothing wrong (unless the true owner has been located), and I found no PA statutes ruling otherwise (and I looked). Did he get a receipt for turning it in?

Well I was there again last night and asked the supervisor on duty why no on has called me like they said they would and all I got was a shoulder shrug. Doesn't look like they are very motivated to help me out.
