I had them the other night and while delicious, I got sick an hour after eating and had to go home, possibly coincidental but I won't be trying them again soon.

Does anyone know when the live updates will be online? Tuesday has come and gone. I don't have a fancy phone so I'm looking to see it on a PC.

I'm coming to Parx tonight for the first time. Do you think I need to call ahead to get on lists for 2/5 and 5/10 for 7pm?

Not a bad idea, the tricky part is knowing when to call, too early and you just get knocked off before u get there.

i was there last night, and if i remember correctly the 5/10 game around 7pm had open seating with 1 table running. The 2/5 game had 2 or 3 ppl on the list at that time as well. Hope this helps.

That's because no one knows the answer. Just relax. They'll release it when it's ready.

You know why people don't bother to announce "we expect to release it next tuesday"? Because if there are delays, people go crazy. Much easier just not to give out any information in advance.

Don't be that guy.

First time poster, long time reader here...

Anyway visited Parx today and thought the room was pretty decent. A couple points:

- I do agree with some posters about the lighting, but it's nothing to cry about.

- I sat at the table in the back middle closest to the bar. Didn't notice the smell of smoke at all except for once, and there was probably at least 1-2 guys at the bar at any given time. The one time I did smell the smoke, there were 4-5 guys back there all puffing it up. I could see how on a busy night, the back middle tables would be smelling smoke all night. Mind you, my father smoked growing up, and I smoked a little when I was younger. So I am not overly sensitive about cigarette smoke.

I could see this issue being solved by having a smoker's lounge in one of those rooms you see once you get off the escalator. Although, I didn't get a good look at what those areas are currently being used for.

- Filling the seats seemed a bit inefficient for whatever reason. There were times when the list was 20+ long for 2-5, yet we had 2-3 open seats at our table for extended periods (maybe 20 minutes tops). I'm guessing this could be due to those who call in but aren't there to pick up the seat.

- Had a solid handful of dealer slip ups in the 4-5 hours I was there. I don't think a single dealer went a session without exposing at least 1 card. The worst one being a 'K' and the guy said he would show both if his other card was a 'K' and low-and-behold it was. To make matters worse, there was a 'K' on the flop. In all my trips to AC, I don't think I saw so many dealer mishaps. Not complaining, just stating facts of what happened. Not that big of a deal though as I'm assuming the dealers will get better in time.

- Talked to a few dealers about the tables being small. One dealer thought definitively that they were smaller, but most seemed to think it was the larger than normal cup holder/cushion area making the square footage of card play smaller. Also, I do agree with some posters that the large base of the chairs are making things a tighter fit. The overall size of the table, however, seemed to be the same to me. But what do I know?

- Parking didn't seem to be an issue to me. If you're smart about it, there are better places to park than the designated "parx east lot."

Overall, a good experience for the 5 or so hours I was there. Came out with a nice double up at a pretty solid table with a couple fish dropping by periodically.

All issues aside, I'll definitely be going back and don't really see a reason to go to the Borgata anymore especially with more tables and tournaments right around the corner. I can see Parx becoming a bigger destination if they can get a few big name concerts and shows to come in.

Anyone know what the required accumulation is to get the elite card?

If you have a premium card from AC then you will get one at Parx too.

From what I was told when I signed up the other day is that the elite card is equal to 7 stars or the mythological titanium borgata card

Just so you know it has nothing to do with the Poker room, all cards are the same in the poker room. In fact there is a card you get in the poker room that is none of the three tiers.

It is not mythological. I acutally had one in my hands on my 24th Bday down there in 2004.

Borgata quoted me a price for a room for my bday weekend, when I went to check out it was a different price. They said they couldn't do anything about it.

A girl I was dating had her uncles 'Titanium' card, told the person at the front desk "My uncle would not be too happy about this" The person looked at the card, went in the back came out and said "We are sorry, we have adjusted your rate to what you said you were quoted. Please tell Mr. so and so we said hello"

Had my first trip to Parx last week. Wohoo!

Not much to add except I thought dealers were great. I could tell a few were newer but I didn't see any mistakes that cost anyone time or money. And pretty much each one had really great personality to add to the table.

While 1-2 NLHE will be deluge, anyone planning to play 1-2 PLO tonight? If the game goes, keeping track of the status page, I'll come by after 11.

Already 22 tables going right now, so unless there are 8 on the list and it gets called in the next 30-60 min, probably not going to happen tonight. I'm staying home tonight but hopefully we can get it going tomorrow.

Put in another session at Parx today. It sucked big time, but that had nothing to do with the Poker Room. Was at a table with a bunch of ok poker players for a while. It softened up a little until I got stacked by a guy who called my flop reraise AI with A high. The board ran out 99 to counterfeit my hand and give him the win, lol.

No dealer problems in the 5 hours I was there tonight. That was an improvement and was nice to see. Floor was working hard but was a little slow on filling empty seats.

I am headed to PARX for the first time tomorrow. What can I expect in term's of the area and the security on the property? Is it in a dangerous area? Are the lots well-lit? I have no qualms with admitting that I am a giant sissy -- and given some of the horror stories about people following people home from some other casinos I worry about the post-game walk from the casino to my car in the dark.

Safety an issue at all here or is this a pretty legit place in a good area?

Apologies if this has been discussed in a prior post. Search did not yield any helpful results.
