Can't hurt to call ahead. If you are called for your seat before you arrive, you'll have to put your name on the list again.

So, you have nothing to lose by calling ahead

I typically buy 25 big bets, makes for even racks in most games.

Were you the one who took most of my stack with set over set?

If so, as I said at the table, great hand and very well played. I'll be sure to be back to that room and hope to play with you again. You were a class act, dude

We're at the ground level of what could be, with out doubt, a masterpiece in the poker community. Sound a little outlandish? A little dreamy? Those who feel this way need not participate.

Guys, lets do this right. lets shape this into something we can be proud of. A never ending super spread of poker X-T-C second to none!! An east coast poker destination!! Something that we can say,20 years from now , we helped build. Something talked about from here to the moon and back!! Something they'll build luxury hotels and entertainment/convention centers around ( and pools w/ bars and stuff)!! Lets get it to where they'll have to kick all the slots and other junk they have in the building out to make room for more poker tables. Get it to where we won't just have a poker room but a poker building!! Where we'll have everything spread from 1/2 limit (yes I said 1/2 limit), to 1000/2000 triple draw!!

Ok, ok..maybe I'm getting a little ahead of myself...lol. But people, I see so much potential in this room, It's not even funny.Iron the silly chit out and lets shoot for the stars is all I'm saying. Get the word out to every poker buddy you have! Every limit/game, just get it done. I think the SKYisn't even the limit to this room. No ******** people ,I have a great feeling about this.

GOD I CAN'T WAIT TO BE A REG. AT THIS ROOM!!!!

That is all
Thank you for all of the support, we will continue to strive to be the best poker room possible. All of the feedback is great, we will continue to listen and make the appropriate changes when necessary.

Thank you

Ari

One dealer today told us that they let go of 5 dealers this past week. I'm sure they had their reasons.

Hey Rich, yes that was me. I apologize for that brutal first hand. You handled yourself really well, which I appreciated. Sorry if I seemed a little quiet, didn't want to get too much into 2+2 talk at the table.

Was nice playing with you and I too hope to see you around again.

I played the hand poorly, you played the hand well... there's really nothing for me to be mad about. You did what you were supposed to do there. I wanted to reload but thought it was best to walk away

I was trying to figure out if you were you. I understand not wanting to talk at the table... you were a class act either way, dude. It was nice playing with you and I hope you had a nice session.

I look forward to (1) playing with you again and (2) becoming a reg there. That really was a great room and very well run.

^Glad you liked it. They really are doing a great job running the room.

Here's my report for the day:

Got to the poker room at 2:15 and there was one name on the $1/2 list. Five minutes later they opened up a new table for us. We sat with 4 players and quickly had a full table.

The dealers were all very good today. You can tell they are getting into the swing of things. The drink service is still really slow. They could use another waitress on the floor. They do serve with a smile and good attitude though, so it's not a big deal.

After I had been playing for 3 hours, a floor/security tapped me on my shoulder and asked to speak with me. After taking me aside he asked me for I.D. which I of course gave him. Mind you I had already been carded twice and given the wristband. He then asked me what the "M in my middle name was for." My middle name does not have an M in it, lol. I'm sure he was just trying to trip me up, but he spoke to me as if he was sure I wasn't 21. Afterward he was very nice to me, but he did stand behind me for quite some time with another floor person. Was kind of strange.

Overall, I had another very enjoyable trip to Parx. Keep up the good work and you will only get better!

Oh, and I think I lost my poker card in the room.

They must be very strict on underage players (as they should be). I was carded in the main casino. I told the security card that no matter how much I lose, Parx will be my favorte casino if they continue to card me...lol. I am YEARS beyond my 21st birthday. The guard apologized and I just smiled and insisted they give me a bracelet as a souvenir...lol!!

Yes, they definitely should be strict. They can card me all they want and I will never have a problem with it. I'll be the first person to say I look like I'm WAY younger than 21. Was just a little strange the way he removed me from the table and "interrogated" me like I had done something wrong.

I have an idea, why not reserve tables for higher limit players instead of using 20 out of 24 tables for 1-2(13 tables) 2-5(5 tables) and 4-8lhe(2 tables)? I got to the card room Saturday 6pm and left at 10 without playing one hand of poker because one 15-30 game was running. My friend who was on the list right after me sat down at 12 am! That's a joke! We can't even get a 30-60 game cause the low-limit has a strangle hold on the room. I doubt I will be there until they get more tables and start spreading a game higher then 15-30.

I for one am definitely glad that we are only around a month away from almost doubling the amount of tables.

And you should be listened to why? Seriously, you do a lot of complaining here. Its not our fault you are a one trick pony and never bothered to learn how to play different games. There are 24 tables there. Thats it. They just set a room up. Who do you think they are going to cater to? The 10% of players who can afford to play the higher limits or the 90% of their clients who play lower limits. They want to be a great room but they also want to make money. If the 1/2 players show up and cant play thats 90% of their revenue walking away in the future. If you are upset because they didnt open up a second 15/30 game, then do they really lose out? I doubt it. Who would want a whiny high limit player complaining about everything paying about the same rake as the lower limit players? I understand it effects you so you are gonna be upset, but all your posts are the same. Stop make threats that you wont play and really just dont play. Im sure you will make everyone else happy.

Put me down as another player that won't be on the AC Expressway any time soon.

Headed down Sat night for the first time. Called in and put my name on the list (love this BTW) @ 7pm was told 54 ahead about 45 min wait on 1/2. Arrived around 745, worked perfect, about a 10 min wait.

After reading all the negative commments I thought I would be parking in wartorn Bosnia walking through the parking lot avoiding sketchy perps hiding behind every car. Then as I walk into the room I would be greeted by a wall of secondhand smoke into a room so dimly lit that I was bumping into people lying on the floor passed out on the floor dying from dehydration due to the lack of speedy drink service.

Happy to say, nothing could be farther from the truth. The parking lot was big and well lit. Its a prking lot, don't know what people expect. Even leaving at 4am I felt fine. Walk in the center of the road, avoid walking between cars if you don't feel safe. Or like other people were saying, ask for an escort if you are that nervous.

The room was great. Felt like a poker room, perfect. Yes, it was a little dim when you first walk in but once I sat down never was a problem.

Second hand smoke never an issue, but I am a smoker so I may not be the best judge. I do love the fact that I can smoke in the same room.

Waitress service a little slow, but you can always just go to the bar just a few feet away if your really in need. The slight delay in service is more than made up in the quality of the servers. Boyshorts and corsets on tight bodies could be the greatest uniform ever. Kudos.

I'm 6 foot 2 weighing in at 255 and I was fine at the size of the table. Don't even know if they are smaller than normal, but I saw no difference. As far as action, the same collection of misfits, nits and donks you would see at the B on any regular sat night. The dealers were ok, not bad but sometimes a little slow. If I have the same issue 3 months from now, then its an issue. But for now I understand.

But the one thing that I take away fron the visit, which I wasnt expecting, is how every employee was so nice. It really was refreshing to see.

Great job everyone involved.

You make a dinner reservation. You don't show up. You lose your spot. Same concept. There is no obligation to keep you at the top of the list (or anywhere on the list, for that matter) and seat players below you, until you finally arrive.

Just because other casino's do this, doe not make it right. It's not fair to other players that are waiting for a seat. I could call in every day at 8AM - get on the list for all games - then show up at 9PM and be 1st up for every game???

Get over your sense of entitlement.

If Parx ever changes their policy to comply with this nonsense, I'd be really surprised. This room is actually well run and they are correct - it is unfair.

I was up in the poconos for the weekend with the wife and stopped by mt airy casino. They only have 20 tablesand were pretty busy. I was on the 2/5 list about 10 names down and to my surprise....they gave me the option for a buzzer or to text my phone. I chose the text, and within 25 min had a text and my seat. Ari you should def look in to this bc when blackjack is downstairs or the ponies are racing a lot of people won't be able to hear.

Yes that would be ridiculous if you could call in at 8am and show up at 9pm and be on the top of all the lists. But why not allow call-ins to stay on the list for, say, one hour? This is exactly how it works at Turning Stone and, as far as I'm concerned, it is a perfect and fair call-in system.

Because it is not a "reservations system". It is a "waiting list". The fact that you are allowed to call in and get your name put on the list without being present is already more than fair. You still should need to be present, when your name is called.

If you got scrubbed, the wait is probably not that long anyway. So, going back on the list won't be that painful. If there are a lot of people on the list when you call, chances are you won't be at the top when you arrive (within a reasonable amount of time, after calling in) anyway. So point is moot.

Doing it differently opens up the system for abuse. And, it isn't fair to players who stood in line to get on the list. They are actually present and ready to be seated.
