How's the list for NL 1-2 atm?

Hi everyone, I'm new on here as you can see....I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a 2/2 NL 200min/500max game, if they would allow it at Parx once the expansion goes through. I think this would fit as a middle game between the 1/2 and 2/5 since the 2/5 has a 200xbb max. Everyone knows the feeling when people buy in with 60 at a 1/2 and 100 at a 2/5. Parx 2/5 already made the 2/5 players with a 200 min....why not let the serious 1/2 players have a higher min, I've always love the deepstack, late 1/2's at borgata, so why not start from the beginning, instead of playing all night before you find a table were everyone buys in the max.....so who's interesting....just an idea for when the expansion occurs

Last night was my first trip and I'll give my quick opinions.

Not sure what all the complaints about the parking is. To me at least the lighting seemed no better or worse then the borgata surface lot. I was expecting a dark oblivion and it was not that.

Cocktail waitresses are easy on the eyes for sure.

Got there at 11pm, put my name on 4/8 O/8, 1/2 PLO, 15/30 and 8/16 LHE. Got called for PLO at 12. Played in the game until 3:30 when it broke, typical live PLO game, people have 2 different bets in these games as usual, either pot or if the pot is like $75 they bet $20.


The O/8 game looked ridiculous as someone else has mentioned, guy was crazy and out of control and pots were huge, also I did not know this but nice to see it was played with a half kill.

Overall the room looks good, when they open the other tables it will be outstanding.


The tables are a little on the small side, not a big deal for me, but you get a couple big guys I could see it being real tight.

Who picked the colors for the $2 chips? This was a terrible decision, for those who have been there I'm sure they agree with this, the colors on the edges make them very easy to cause an unnoticeable dirty stack, hassle in PL and NL games and a huge annoyance for the cashiers.

Also the poker room being in a completely different building then the rest of the casino makes it hard to draw in a passer by or inconvenient for those going with friends that aren't poker players.

I was also told you can now call ahead and be put on a list.

What has the weekend wait list for 1-2 been at about 1:30pm?

Made my debut last night. I called from the NJ Turnpike and got on the 2/5 list. It worked out great....as I waited maybe 20 minutes once I arrived.

Dealers were worse than average IMO....pretty slow.....glad it was raked instead of timed...although I prefer time.

Not enough waitresses.....long time between drinks.....no reason for that....just add 1 or 2?

Room was nice.....felt comfortable right away....saw many faces I recognize from Borgata.

Will be splitting time between Borgata & Parx.

I was there around that time, I was checking out the PLO game from time to time, the asian kid with the grey hoodie jacket. Maybe you were the guy with the Phillies hat? I randomly mentioned the Borgata PLO game and later in the night mentioned the lack of money in the game. Someone responded who had maybe 500 in front of them that the money left, maybe that was you?

Yeah, I haven't seen people pull out bills that weren't on the table when the hand started in a limit game yet. If I did see that happen, I think I'd object if I was in the hand, since the size of short stack does affect my decision making often.

A $100 bill only plays rule would be nice. At the Borgata I often see 20's, 5's and even 1's being used to call bets.

After my second trip to Parx yesterday, playing at three different tables, I believe my earlier complaint about the tables being too small might not be quite correct, Rather, I think it might just be a problem with the cupholders being spaced incorrectly. In particular, the 4 and 7 seats are extremely cramped. When I was in the 2 or 9 (my preferred seats), I felt like I had plenty of room.

I was not the kid in the phillies hat, I am originally from NY, Mets and Giants Fan here, but i think i know who you are talking about in the phillies hat, he was in the 8 seat or so. Were you around when they were playing heads up? If so I know who you are. The game got 4 handed, 2 guys had less than $100, and the other player in the game had $200 but was also a friend of mine so i picked up. Were you the one who was saying you like PLO but weren't good short handed?

I was wearing a yellow sweatshirt in the 3 seat and talking to my friend who was playing heads up.

Planning on heading to Parx for the first time the first weekend of December. Few questions. The poker room is in a separate building? Should I be looking to park somewhere specific to be closer to it? I'm planning on getting there around 12:30 or 1 on a Saturday afternoon, what sort of wait times would I be looking at for a 1/2 NL game? And lastly, is the buy-in 60-300 as it is in AC?

You'll want to park near Parx East. When you pull into the complex there are two buildings. The one on the right is the main casino. The big box to the left is Parx East. Poker room is upstairs in the big box.

Waitlist around that time should be no more than 30 minutes for 1/2. Last Saturday it was a 30 minute wait up until 3pm or so and then it got longer.

Yes, $60-$300.

Bring an A.C. casino card and you'll get $25 or more of slot play at the casino. Maybe could do that if the wait is really long for poker. Have fun and gl!

For some reason, I become a huge nit when I'm coming off a few good sessions so I decided to play 4/8 and it didn't help that the game was so good, you probably heard that loudmouth donator.
