One more reason for me to move from the Peoples republic of NJ to a free state like PA.

That sounds more like we saw something we didn't like in the parking lot so we got security and they handled it and nothing happened than "we almost got robbed" imo.

Unfortunately, it's still going to be a PITA unless you avoid NJ entirely. NJ doesn't recognize concealed carry permits from other states, so if you drive through New Jersey with a gun in your glove box, you can get in trouble.

Im about the least paranoid person you can be, mostly because i am terribly unstreet smart. That being said, a car without its lights on driving towards us quickly, from the handicap parking spot seems a little sketchy to me.

This is just one of the lessons people need to learn as they grow up. Being aware of your surroundings, and avoiding sketchiness will take you a long way in life. Putting on your ipod or talking on your phone on your way to your car is taking your attention away from your surroundings. Just be concious (sp?) of what is going on around you and 99% of the time you will be A'ok.

Having been to PARX when it was just a slot parlor (waiting to go the first time first week of December to the poker room) i didn't feel sketchiness at all. The clientele may have left a little something to be desired (senior citizen slot zombies and the like) I at no point felt threatened, even after cashing out for a bit of $$ from 3 card poker machine.

Loving the poker room (especially since it is only 5 miles away from my house). I see a lot of the Harrahs reg. 1-2 2-5 players. Dealer told me that they are trying to get Mizrachi to check out the venue. We'll see.

Lot of exposed cards from a few dealers, but that is to be expected with a new poker room. Seen a bunch of old dealers from AC Hilton & Tropicana that def. know how to deal.

Funny story, Monday night playing 1-2. This middle-aged, overweight woman is at my table. (~50 years old prob) I can tell she keeps ordering captain & cokes. She pulls off a sick bluff on me when I almost called with AJ high (and would've been right). After her bluff I guess she got extremely confident and was raising 30+ preflop EVERY hand for about an hour. She had a stack of ~1300 and lost every penny and then 300 more.

Particular hand was she raised to 45 (from MP @ 1-2 table lol). I look down to QQ in SB, I make it 100, she calls. flop is Q-J-7, I bet 133, she calls. Turn is 6. I check to her (induce bluff), she bets 160, I shove, she calls with J3, I scoop 800-900 pot.

Other than that night the play has been REALLY soft with a ton of limping.

^Yup. She run ridiculously well when I was there. Tabled dubbed her "Lady Luck." Hit every hand at the best possible time. I was able to make once move on her though, getting her to fold the better hand.

Which table and which night did you play? We may have played together because everyone was in shock how good she was running (beating AA and Kk with 8-5 with hitting 2 pair on the river etC). Of course I trapped her and stacked her

I am prob one of the most paranoid people and was with Rankmenow. I am not sure what it was too be honest. When we came back inside only one person had come up the step and went straight to the bathroom. We then came downstairs and the 3 kids were walking around inside looking lost and the car was double parked right out front. None of this really makes any sense as I cant see random people checking out a poker room for the first time at 545 am. As well as the guy going to the bathroom, if it was his car double parked I am sure he would have just went to the casino if he needed to go to the bathroom quickly. Also, there was a security car parked near the first section of cars which is why I thought someone might try robbing right out front as opposed to in the parking lot. I thought the kids coming in "looking around" might just be them saving face especially considering they were just parked off to the side when we first came out. All in all, I am not saying we were going to be robbed or anything of the sort, just saying get a security escort and give him a 5 each time. By far the most plus EV thing to do.

After seeing the parking lot in broad daylight, I am concerned about safety in that lot. I did see a Police officer cruising the handicapped parking area near the casino (not the one in front of East), so apparently they do come around, although who knows how often. I did not notice how well lit (if lit at all) the walkway between Parx and the Casino is. If it is well lit, I may take advantage of the valet parking at the Casino and use the path between the buildings. I think that might be safer. I don't valet at casinos out of laziness...I do it for my safety! Otherwise I will definitely be asking for a security escort...whether I have money in my pocket or not.

Its a bit of a hike from the casino to the poker room. Also you have about 75 yards of pitch black between the two. One option would be to valet then use the shuttle...a bit much I think. To be safe just grab a guard on your way out...and run on your way in. Glgl

Table 19 on Saturday. I was only there until 6pm though. She was in the 3 seat. One memorable hand was when she had AQ against another lady who had literally just sat down and had AJ. The board fell AJxQA and lady luck stucked the new player.

I agree on NOT making the walk between the two buildings. That's just flirting with disaster.

It would be 100% better if the lighting, both in front of the entrance and in the main lot were improved. In its current state, the entrance is extremely dark (compared to a typical casino entrance) and often times void of any life forms. After you get past the HCP lot, the lighting is very poor.

They could even have a guard outside the entrance.

Odds of redesigning the lot and/or adding a garage (not that it would be safer) are slim to none. But, for a relatively minor cost increase, they could improve the lighting and add a guard. Both would go a long way to improving the safety... or at least the perception of safety.

I'm going to stand out front and start valet parking. 5 to 3am. Any takers? Text me 5 mins before arrival and 10 before exit to be met out front. 7 a car.

Yesterday they had a security gaurd car parked in the main parking lot. The only part they didnt have security was in the main lobby downstairs and our front where the shuttle is. If they had a security car there with a guard in the lobby or something to that effect it would be perfect.

Anyone have a current game report? Much appreciated.

I'm sorry but does having $5k in your pocket make you nervous? Its only about 1/4 of an inch tall. A full pack is less than 3/4 of an inch (if banded) Or just keep it in high denom chips, even easier.

Does parx having depo boxes you can just leave chips in? This should fix most of the nervous nellies out there...
