Thanks PokerEthics for the info! One last question: Right now they are running a "10-20 Big O" per Bravo. I've heard various descriptions of what "Big O" is but never seen or played it. It it limit or pot limit (or no limit) and is it high/low eight or better or high only? All descriptions I've heard it that it's a five card in hand game otherwise played like Omaha i.e. must use two in hand and three on board.

I believe it is 5 card PLO 8 or better. Yes must use 2 in hand; split pot hi / lo but only a low if three flop cards are 8 or lower.

5/5 doesn't run daily. It doesn't go most Mondays and Wednesdays and Thurs is 50/50.

Interesting. When I’ve played Big O in Las Vegas it’s been pot limit, which it will be at WSOP this year.

I stand corrected it doesn’t run every single day. Tuesday is your best bet. Saturday also runs usually.

They will have a bigger PLO game than 2-2 on most days.

Just to clarify, I meant that, at Parx, the 10-20 Big O game is limit.

It is entirely possible that a Big O game can run in PL format (or even NL, I suppose). I've never personally played it that way, though. (And I doubt it would run as 10-20 rather than 10-25 in a PL format, but who knows.)

How is the Holiday inn next to Parx? Is it safe to walk from Parx to there late night thru the parking lot?

Also there's no more player discounts for hotels, I don't see it on bravo anymore.

I've never stayed, but the walk across the parking lot is basically the same as the walk to your car in the parking lot. I never feel unsafe, but use the default basic level of common sense, note your surroundings, etc.

Cool, its just that I heard someone got robbed a few years ago there and have heard rumblings about how there're no lights at night (its been many years since I went there and never at night)

I was there a couple nights a few months ago. The parking lot or the general area didn't feel particularly unsafe, the lighting was normal IIRC. But you know it's still a casino parking lot and in a city ridden by crime so there is bound to be an occasional incident. If a robbery only happened once every few years that would be a decent score, they are probably more frequent...

Apparently I-95 has been taken out in Philly. The break is south of Bensalem. I'm wondering if the now several months long traffic jam will back up to the point it makes Parx difficult to get to from NYC? Was thinking about going down Tuesday. Now I'll have to see how bad the traffic will be.

Yeah it's going to be a complete mess getting from philly from points north now. Either local roads for miles (I can't imagine the traffic nightmares) or heading over the bridges into NJ now instead. (Southbound may also be impacted, though it seems like it's open now?)

I suspect Parx is far enough above the disaster to avoid issues if you're coming from NYC. You'll just take the the NJ Turnpike to the PA Turnpike like normal and get off on either end of Street Road, and vice versa.

I was thinking staying with 276 to the far end of Street Rd, instead of coming south on 95 might avoid possible problems, as long as 95 doesn't back up all the way back to the NJTP.

Was looking at the list on bravo just now & they have 5/5 Big O (Hi only) waiting list. Is this how they typically list 5c or a one time thing?

i've seen 5 card run a couple of times there (6 ish months ago) and it always was short handed and broke quickly. i guess someone just started an interest list.
