Several busses go to Parx. It depends what part of Philly you're coming from that determines the best options. You can check the SEPTA page or even Google Maps.

What's the best way to get from Philly airport to Parx, and roughly how long does it take?

Does Parx offer an electronic bank at the cage?

Anyone start the countdown for when parx big stax is back? Parx big stax 2030…… I’m ready for you!!!

Nah in all seriousness what the F is the east coast doing? Even Atlantic City, it’s a god damn gambling hub hub for the east coast. Why are tournaments not back yet in the east coast. Florida, Texas, and vegas all back at it. Not sure what the northeast is doing. It’s a joke.

Maybe for pit play. If they do for poker it's a secret.

Shitty small mtts with crap structures and they run what 3-4 a week which is lolz. I’m talking about when are they going to run a big series again with some halfway decent gtns.

Even if they don’t go back to running say a $600-500k or more for their bigger series, why can’t they just run a small series with a smaller gtn (say a $600-200k) and then limit the # of entrants if they don’t have enough dealers. Idk the northeast has been a joke lately. **** it though. I’ll go to vegas- northeast casinos can lose my business not that they care but it’s just a joke in the northeast today.

Which I don’t get? The room is fire if you ask me and has so much potential. I feel any of these semi nice casinos in the northeast (parx, borgata, Foxwoods, rivers, Mohegan, etc) could just crush if they ran a big mtt series. I know it’s a pipe dream but I just don’t understand the hold up. I’m still of the thought that tournaments don’t really return a great bang for the buck in comparison to cash games but others here will say ugh they can’t hire enough dealers etc.

Btw parx- ugh I miss parx big stax. Was one of the series I thought had a great structure, great room, nice location in the northeast etc. parx is by far one of my favorite places to play. Just wish they would run a big stax series now.

Btw Maryland live, Philly, etc that are running mtts now. Ugh they are just lol all. Not a fan of the Philly casinos or Maryland really and the structures are just a little too meh if you ask me for the buy ins per se. They aren’t the worst but not worth traveling to. I would rather go to florida or vegas.

Lol won’t disagree there. The silver lining is nyc casinos. Even if the room is horribly run it will still be one of the better casinos in the country. Nyc poker would be hard to
**** up lol

It’s a combination of both I feel. I also feel that casinos don’t believe that tournaments are as profitable as cash games but a big tournament series is a good way to get bodies into the casino. Oh well.

Parx and Borgata will get hit hard, once NYC casinos actually open.

That or let poker die out. If they want a poker boom they’d have no choice

Haha I know you NYC guys think you are the only ones who matter, but I think I’ve read somewhere that Philadelphia has some people in it too.

No argument that a NYC room would cut down on players though.

Next time I see Bill I’ll try to remember to ask him if/when he thinks Big Stax might return.

I’m not the super expert on PA/NJ regs but I’m guessing most that live between nyc and nj/pa will go to nyc more often than not to play

PA rooms will be fine, it's AC that's going to be in trouble. They get the majority of us NYC'ers because of the free rooms. It's harder for us to get the PA rooms via public transportation, and a lot of us don't drive. Much easier to get to AC, you get dropped right at the casinos, and can stay for free.

This is why I expect to see North NJ Casinos pushed through in the coming years

Yea that’s true. AC is more convenient for nycers without a car. It will still hurt their business when nyc and especially if north NJ come through too
