Re: Parx Casino (Bensalem, PA) -- FAQ in OP

The 15 game will likely stay at Parx. I play 15 and 40 and pretty much all the players agreed it will stay there. Also coming from south of 95 and would never go to PHL Live either bc of location, parking, etc. It's a mess down there especially during events.

I wasn’t too crazy about this setup when I was there on Sunday

I didn’t play at Parx a lot, but from what I remember you had to pay for beer there? Please correct me if I am wrong, but that was a major reason why I didn’t play there a lot.

Yes they did charge for alcohol but the governor in PA said no alcohol allowed in casinos unless you order a drink with dinner (haven't played in PA for over a week so idk if it's still in effect).

Anyone know what the deal is with requesting tables changes/seat changes? It says on their Bravo page that "table changes will be limited"

You can move tables only if changing games from say 1/3 to 2/5. You can always do it discreetly but they have to clean seats every time someone gets up so it’s difficult. Hopefully this changes in a month or so. We always had a fun good 1/3 game going there overnight on the weekends. Extremely diff to get same players at same table now.

You may get an eye roll from the floor if you switch seats same table bc they have to clean area, but it’s allowed.

Was there last week and I was told you can change seats but the new seat just needs to be wiped down first. Floor and dealer didn’t seem to care either way, in fact, they were both pretty nice about it. Also was told to bring my chair with me. Floor brought the other chair to my old seat and wiped that down.

How have the games been, generally? Nitty, reg-filled, lots of eager recs firing it off? Considering heading down but don’t want to make the several hour drive unless people find the games, and room, enjoyable. Thanks!

Can someone help put me in touch with Asian Jeff from the 25/25 plo at Parx? I screwed him over ~2 years ago and trying to make things right.

It changes day to day maybe even hour to hour depending on lineup.. usually 2-3 tables of 2-2 and 1 table of 5-5.

Id say the “action” has been about the same

Re: Parx Casino (Bensalem, PA) -- FAQ in OP

Today late afternoon we were 5 handed on 2/5 with the 5th player walking, been on his phone behind the table, then was hovering over the game, every time it was his BB he said he didn't want it... So I joke to my neighbor that he doesn't like to play short (older grumpy type of player). So he finally says ok and takes his bb. We play till his next blind when he says "I'm done" and gets a rack and starts to rack up.

One of the 4 remaining players then asks a supervisor how many seats are open, there's 2 and 4 of us, and at the same time one of the other players says he's done too, so we begin to draw. While the original guy was just finished racking up and saw we were drawing, all of a sudden he wanted to draw. Was I wrong to say "you're the reason we broke, because you said you were leaving" and try to tell him he can't draw or did he really deserve to draw?

He ended up drawing, I won a seat, but was I ethically wrong to try to prevent him not to draw (I mean I didn't make a scene, just said to like 3 people why's he drawing, no one seemed to have a care about it in the world so I didn't push it).

You’re of course right, but I have never seen a situation like that where they don’t let the guy draw if he is still there and wants to. They just look at it as the game the broke, anyone who is still there can draw if they want. But I agree if that person breaks the game they shouldn’t get to draw they go to the bottom of the list.

Re: Parx Casino (Bensalem, PA) -- FAQ in OP

Went to play over the weekend. I forgot to call in so have to wait for over 30min before I could get a seat.

The 1/3 has 59 wait list, and 2/2 has 40. They end up with 3 5/5 table and like 4 2/2 table.

The divider was more annoyed than I was expected, don't know if I should wait or just tough it out.
