2. I never really saw people at the old Circle Bar. Poker players are lazy. They call for chip runner when the cage has no line and it's 50 feet away. I doubt this is much of an effect.

3. Think my walk from car to casino was exactly the same, at any rate I'm not sure what you are talking about it being a nightmare.

4. It's like a two second walk through that area

5. TVs are huge. I was in the middle and I could see more TVs much better than the old room. TVs in the little waiting room. Overall TV situation much better imo

6. That's like the vast majority of rooms. Not that big of a deal, people will quickly learn.

7. Did not see this.

In general I think it is a big upgrade. Nicer room, with better lighting. So many eating options other than waiting at least an hour for bad food service.
2. Drunks used to get up to go to the bar all the time, especially when the waitress said they had to wait to serve them, or if it was near last call. They'd usually proceed to donk off their money.

3. The walk is the same but the parking sucks. We have to compete with the main casino traffic for spots. In Parx east it was much easier to find a spot close to the casino. That means a lot if you are walking out with 1K+ in your pocket after a winning session.

4. Agree but it is still nasty.

5. I'll have to disagree with you here. I was near the front in the middle row and had to squint to the the score of the football game. In the old room the TV's were right next to you.

6. Not a big deal but it is easier to find a table if there is a number above it.

7. It isn't on all tables. I played on about 6 tables so far and 3 had the problem.

You must play in some good games, the pansies I play with never drink at all. I'd drink more but I only drink scotch and that is pricy

If you are at all concerned about $$$ put the majority of it in your shoe or some secret location and $200 in your pocket to give up so they don't kill you for holding out on them.

Just tell them to strip search us why don’t you? Only solution is take an Uber from the front door to your car. (This from a guy that got a ride to the train station from a 2p2er out at Oaks in Cali after a big score on a business trip a few years back).

I've never heard of someone getting robbed at Parx? Has anyone? Provide a news link?

I meant in the parking lot. I've heard the follow home thing before. I'm not concerned with that. I get to my car Im good. Say hello to my little friend.
I've never felt unsafe there and don't feel others should either. I'm also 6'1 and 255 lbs not a 73 year old lady like the 1 St article

How do comps expire exactly? It says after 90 days but does that mean from the date you earned your first dollar or simply 90 days after your last session?

Any word on Feb Big Stax? Is it being scrapped?

I've just updated the FAQ in the OP with info on the new location, refreshed some of the links, etc.

I believe comps expire 60 days after you earn them, but I haven't asked recently. i.e. if you earn $10 in comps today, then come back 45 days later and earn $25 more, then return another 20 days later, the first $10 will have expired and you will only have $25 in comps still available.

I don't know about Big Stax. Last I heard it was still going to happen, and was likely to be held in either the Xcite center or back in Parx East, but no firm decisions had been made. I believe daily tournaments will be held in the main poker room, but not sure about that either. I think they are restarting today, so perhaps we'll know more about the dailies soon.

I agree with others about tightness of new room. They just put so much money in, how did they not measure the space between tables? I was jammed between table and floor supervisor podium. Every time dealer changed I had to get out of my seat so they could get by. And yeah, had to splay my right knee out to the side because of the tip box. Room is beautiful and TVs are 10,000x better than old room. Also agree having to walk through the entire casino floor requires a gas mask...

Note the lack of table numbers, which is annoying in a room this size.

Why you waiting so long? You can call in and reserve

I doubt the Big Stax in February is being scrapped. The main event is on the WPT Deep Stacks website.

This info is right, though I believe it's 90 days as I asked a floorman recently. It certainly makes sense since I haven't been playing much and actually ran out of comps somehow for the first time in a very long time.

This trend may continue depending if some of these negative reports about the new room are true lol. Though I might add that the food options should be much improved given the location of some decent restaurants nearby.

As a fish and a drinker, trust me, the lack of a bar suuuuuucks for the games.

Drink service is notoriously tight at Parx and not having a bar available to bypass the slow drink service makes me not want to stay at the tables nearly as long and makes me play tighter as well.

There's always Chickie and Pete's bar next door.

Oh I know. I left and got drinks from two bars before returning to my table. But I’m a fish. You don’t want me leaving for 10 min every half hour.

Efficient drink service is great for the games. Parx sucks at it

Truer words have never been spoken. I remember once at an evening tournament I waited 45 mins for a drink. I am not used to bringing my own water into a casino in fact most won't let you do it but you have to or become dehydrated.

I usually bring a bottle of water and a latte or coffee from Dunkin'. I get two waters at a time and those little bottles fill up mine.

I'm here now and the drink service seems good so far. I'm not here two full downs yet, and she's been by twice.

Glad to see the move has finally been made. Looking forward to checking out the new space.

What has the temperature been in the new room? Overly warm or cold? Thanks.

Temp was pretty good. When it got busy I pulled my sweatshirt off and was comfortable in a short sleeve shirt.

I really like the new room, much more so than the Parx East room. The lighting is worlds better and the overall feel is just significantly nicer. My only complaints from my brief session today echos others: the toke box needs to be moved asap and walking through the smoke to get to the room really sucks, especially the unavoidable section directly in front of the poker room.

Any chance they could make the small area in front of the poker room non-smoking? It would be nice to be able to get to the bathroom without having to go through clouds of second hand smoke.

I was freezing there last week. I think we were under a vent or something, the entire table had their coat on.

If the room allows I will try and get a 40/80 mix game started on Tuesdays

Want to play OE and various draw games.

Hoping to have enough people, always seems to be a lot of people waiting for 75/150 HOE and 40/80 Hold’em

I only have anecdotal evidence, but in the few sessions I've played in the new room there have been a lot a servers around. The ones specifically working my tables seemed to have been around every 15ish minutes, if not less time.

That would be a welcome change since the old room would never have enough cocktail waitresses to cover the amount of players.
