Guys, we put up a good front but I think it's time that we all admit the conspiracy.

To flopturntree, we're sorry. Our initial intelligence investigation told us that you weren't smart enough to notice. We were obviously wrong. We spent weeks showing your picture to every dealer and player in the room just so we could all make a living off of cheating you. This really sucks for us. You have no idea of the logistics involved in stealing from you as we have been. Every dealer and 88% of all Parx players were in on it.

To all dealers, supervisors and players. We will have a meeting on Sunday at 2pm to go over who our next mark should be. Remember, this is no small operation and seating is limited to the first 250 that show up. If anyone has any suggestions please message me beforehand.

One last thing. There is a list at the brush for people coming to the meeting. Please sign up in advance if possible. Also, please sign up to bring food or beverages. This meeting may take awhile and we don't want people screaming about how hungry they are like they were last time.

Then get on the OE table with several fairly tight players and the 1 loose guy was running us over, me in particular for a couple of downs. Must have been uncomfortable sitting on that 2 outer horseshoe. KJ53 unsuited and QJ22 in Omaha. Cant figure those two out.
KJ53 is a premium compared to most hands the regs play in the OE game

The 6/12 OE is such a fixture in the room that trying another 6/12 limit game probably would not work.

Guess I'm getting used to the east coast mentality. Parx regs in that game seem kind of friendly now. Part of its the game--O8/OE doesnt attract the warm and fuzzy casuals. Only non-fun people at Canterbury in Minnesota at the 6/12 O8 table.
Any shot of adding a few games to the OE mix? Maybe badacey, 2-7 Triple Draw, Razz? Would be good to get it going with some more fun stuff.

Lol gl with that one, no one will go for it. The 10-20 big o/super stud mix is more fun and gambly in general but has it's own headaches as well.

Been wanting to play this, but it hasn't gone when I've gotten out there (usually saturday during the day).

What are the headaches?
Parx Casino (Bensalem, PA) -- FAQ in OP Quote

Big O has no headaches and runs smoothly. The stud round is annoying bc it can only be played six handed so two people have to sit out. So out buttons have to be passed around for who sits out that hand, but if someone is walking one of the people with the out buttons can play. This sounds simple but leads to endless debate over who has to sit out to the point where you want to lay in traffic. That and many dealers are unfamiliar with dealing the game and players are opinionated about process can be aggravating. But the fact that the game has a ton of action and loose play generally makes up for these difficulties. It plays very large for the limit and there are many kill pots, both of which are big plusses in my book.

Parx Poker room is by far one of the best in the entire nation in terms of action and professional staff, believe me I know from experience (that Veronica Vaughn is one hot piece of ace)

Does the 15-30 run every night? I'll be in the Philly area next week and am thinking about coming up, maybe on Thursday. Any chance of something bigger, like a 30-60, going?

I've been literally crying tears of laughter reading the last 2 pages of this thread, and quite literally fell out of my chair after reading this to top it all off.

I'm still trying to catch my breathe.

Thinking about checking out the 15-30 Limit Holdem game on Tuesday.
Is there a game going as early as 11am on Tuesdays?
If I have a limited window of opportunity to play (i.e., a couple of hours 11-1 and then a three hour period 2-5) what's my best strategy for getting on the list, leaving the table, etc.?

Is it a time game or a raked game?

Thanks.

I volunteer to be the mark. The way I run, I will probably lose less if I know upfront that everyone knows what my cards are...

Wtf is up with this guy saying "deal me in" like it explicitly means dealer intentionally showing your cards only when dealing to you?

"deal me in"? Dude is definitely on drugs.

15-30 starts at some point during the day, just about every weekday, and Tuesday is actually the biggest day for all the hi limit games. I think it normally starts around 11ish, but I am never in the game that early so I'm not the best source of info. I would just get there when you can, put your name on the list, and I think you're probably safe to get a seat and not be locked out. You can call in and put your name on the list up to an hour before you plan to arrive as well.

If you need to step away for an hour, you have 3 options: pick up and then go back on the list when you return; put yourself on dinner list; or just leave your chips and tie up a seat. Given the timing, I would do the latter if it will only be an hour, even though it's a bit of a dick move to tie up a seat for that long. **** happens though, and you have 1-1.5 hours before you get picked up, so an hour should be OK. If you really mean that you're going to leave at 12:45, and come back at 2:15, though, then that's dicier.

the 15 game is $6/hh. See the OP for more details on all the games.

According to their website the 15-30 game has been starting between 10:30-11:15 on Tuesdays for the last month.

I know someone who was going to Parx twice a month in 2015 for awhile. He found that, probably due to the fact that the poker room is in a seperate building, that the games are infested with good players & are not soft. The soft games are found at the Sands.

He did say the Parx is the best casino though & prefers to play there.

I think it is also a function of the casino located in a relatively good area close to the upper middle class parts of New Jersey and Philadelphia. As a result, it has better educated and more well off clientele and less hardcore gamblers like places, such as Commerce or Harrahs Chester. Also, lack of free drinks does not help in attracting the right kind of players either.

Half the people in the Parx room have traveled from NY or a similarly far distance attracted by the serious games. Semi-pro guys like an environment like that.

Me....I prefer chaos of Sugarhouse. Poker should have a fun atmosphere, not the quiet seriousness of Parx where everyone has their headphones on. Fun attracts recreational players which makes for good games with a nice balance of mediocre and decent players. Just my opinion.

Parx is unquestionably the best run, nicest and most comfortable room in the area, but if it's Thurs-Sun I'm almost always going to Sugarhouse to play with the droolers stumbling in from center city bars.

OK folks, I allow a certain amount of back and forth about and comparisons between local rooms in each other's threads because of the geographic overlap, but let's stop with the shilling for other rooms here, please. (The same goes for the other rooms in their threads.)

If you have questions about Sugarhouse, Harrahs Philadelphia, or Sands, please ask them in the threads dedicated to those rooms.
