That's funny, when I called in I was told like 230 or 240 players for Day 1c when I called yesterday, and I was just told a little more than 130 for 1d.

The discrepancy may be whether you are getting single day numbers or cumulative numbers. On Wednesday, there were 76, which made a total of ~ 240 cumulative.

That'd make sense. In any case I just called in and they said 460 so far.

I'd expect at least 300-400 today, but my guess could be inaccurate.

^ weirdly enough I just realized that that's still a discrepancy, but I'm gonna assume it's accurate. Or I'll just wait until tomorrow to find out the final count.

Is there some kind of Parx poker room secret menu? I had one person order and say they have a good chicken salad sandwich. A different person got some kind of noodle dish that also isn't on the menu. Any other items I should know about?

What does the "unpaid places" mean on the tournament clock above?

"Secret menu?" Lol. This isn't Starbucks or In n Out (although both would be nice to have on the property). You are probably referring to the daily specials. You have to ask the food runner what the special is bc it changes and isn't on the menu. The closest thing to a secret menu at Parx are the take-out menus hidden in one of the drawers at the high limit podium.

A Starbucks would be really clutch.

I know I'm a week late but that's how many places would pay if there were no more entrants. Parx pays out around 9% for these tournaments.

And "unpaid" is different from paid how then? I understood it to mean exactly what you said Earl, but the "un" part seems unnecessary.

It's an app that you can install onto your phone to get poker info for pretty much every casino. Tells you what games they're spreading, has wait lists, info about tourneys, etc. Very useful app.

I'm planning to play day 1a of the Big Stax 300 on Wednesday morning. Are the lines usually really long to register for this? If I get there by 10am (tourney starts at 11am) is there going to be a long line?

In the bravo screenshot it showed 488 entrants, 44 unpaid, and 380 remaining. So it's telling you that they will pay the top 44 in the event, but since the money hasn't been reached yet, those spots are unpaid.

Once the money bubble bursts, bravo updates to show both the paid and unpaid spots. Using the same example, it would show 488 entrants, 9 unpaid, 35 paid, 9 remaining when the final table is reached.

I get it. I just don't remember seeing that at other places. Just places paid and players remaining. Figure if there are less players than places yet to be paid we can figure it out.

But then It's been years since I've played a tournament. Maybe my memory is bad.

Clumsily worded. Not sure why they just don't have it read "Players remaining" and "Places paid" and not change anything post-bubble.

Are there any room rates for recommended close hotels? The promo code on the PARX website no longer works for Extended Stay.

Essentially - where should I stay? I'm just one dude that doesn't care much about super quality of room.

Try calling the hotels directly. Sometimes the web codes don't work properly.

Has anyone played in the 10/10 game there? I'm thinking about heading up there to play 10/10 for my birthday in a few months.

I doesn't run that often anymore, except on Tues and maybe some Saturdays. Game is drying up a lot.
