Uh, of course you would. A discounted rate would be due to your play. They'll want to look up your play.

Parx doesn't have a hotel, they have some type of deals with local hotels/motels, Parx Poker will even give you the codes for the discounted rates... Not sure if you need proof that you'll be playing at Parx by showing a players card when you Check in?

Are e-cigarettes allowed at tables at Parx? If so, the floors were doing their job by allowing them.

I'm not a smoker or use e-cigs. What is being put out there is that the e-cig vapors are harmless. When I sit at a poker table with e-cigs, my eyes burn and start tearing.

I'm glad there is a healthier alternative to cigareettes, I don't like being around the vapors.

I have no idea what that has to do with my post. The guy I was responding to accused the Parx floor managers of "not doing their jobs." I asked if e-cigarettes are allowed at the tables at Parx. So... are e-cigarettes are allowed at the tables at Parx?

Sadly, yes

It's still smelly and annoying to deal with at the tables. Just because it's not tobacco smoke doesn't mean we need to put up with it.

Parx: please make ecig smokers go to the smoking section. (or ideally, ban all smoking in the poker area. It's 2015 already...smoking is not cool anymore).

Smelly? I don't use e-cigarettes but I understand that they are odorless. If so, how can they be smelly?

I'd really not like to see this thread derail into general information regarding e-cigarettes. There is a thread in OOT where you can learn all about them here:

https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/34...oking-1182285/

If you have an opinion on whether e-cigarettes should be allowed @ Parx fine, but please keep the general questions/comments about them in OOT. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

EDIT to add: my personal opinion is that they should be allowed only where cigarettes and cigars are allowed.

Parx' is alienating more players than they can even imagine by allowing smoking to take place in their poker room. Allowing fools to smoke e-cigs at the table has caused me to stop playing there unless there is a promotion. E-cigs are not odorless at all, in fact they come with flavors such as bubble gum and cotton candy. truly makes me nauseous. I also don't understand why they can't seem to figure out the temperature of the room, Borgata seems to have no problem.

I am just glad there are options to play at. $5 rake plus $1 promo leaves no room for error.

What's the phone charging situation in the room? Chargers at the seats? Charging stations?

They're offering 1-3 on a trial basis right now. Two games today, can't speak for the action though.

2 Tables again today at 1-3NL.

Anyone able to provide info on action, rake, and/or Parx's plans with this game moving forward. Much appreciated.
Personally think it has some chance for legs given the normal amount of 1-2 tables and the slightly larger gap vs. 2-5 given the 1K max buyin... and I generally find the 2-5 Parx game plays higher/better players than avg mope fest at borg.

I disagree. I find the amount of fun players who seem to know it all to be very interesting.

Has parx ever run this Survivor format tournament before, like the one they are having tomorrow? If yes, anyone have any idea how late it might run?

Trying to decide whether to head over here today. Has there been any cash game dealer shortages lately due to the tournaments?

Last year around this time I went there only to wait 40 minutes and leave because of absurdly long lists.
