Nope. There's been a long-standing rumor of one being added, but I don't think anything definitive has been stated.

In the future I would stay at the Extended Stay America or the InnPlace Bensalem. Only $65 after tax and with shuttles to and from. Also within walking distance after hours, basically in the same parking lot.

Yeah, lesson learned. I know that public transport sucks but usually if there is a casino, its ok but this is just a desaster.

Unfortunately today is another indication that when you cater to the people that frequent your poker room on special occasions you will only bother the regulars.

They only have 13 cash games open because they want to break records for the tournament series. Whether you agree or not is up for debate. It's not like they didn't schedule enough dealers..... it's all hands on deck, but unfortunately there are not enough hands. With nearly 100 names on the 1-2 list and a desire to continue to open 2-5 games with a much shorter list the base of the room (which is 1-2) will be frustrated. If it continues over the 3 week time span of the big stax they will lose business in the long run.

My suggestion is that if you want to play one two show up later.... There's a two hour wait right now.

I'll be at tournament tonight, then 1/2 after that. Grey hoodie, beard. Any 2+2'ers feel free to say hello.

Wanted to thank the shift supervisors and floor for doing such a great job in addressing player concerns in multiple situation whether it be problems w a player or dealer. Let's not forget running great tournaments. Next series I think they should take a shot and guarantee minimum 300k for the first event. They crushed the 150k guarantee by over 350k.

Fritz did you play the $200 turbo deepstack last Tuesday? Curious to see how long it ran..

I played the normally scheduled Tuesday night tournament six weeks ago and chopped 6 ways at 1:30am. I played the special Tuesday tournament last week and exited in level 5 or 6 when KK<AA, so I don't know how long that one ran...different format than the 1:30am one.

This is a little way off, but I'm trying to plan a trip out to Parx for 4th of July Weekend. Probably won't play much poker Friday the 4th (probably do something else in the city considering the holiday), so my questions are:

(1) How good would the $1/$2 NL games be that Friday night if I get to the casino at about 10 or 11 pm?

(2) What are the games going to be like on Saturday the 5th considering the weekend? Lots of people throwing money around?

(3) Do you think there will be any $1/$2 PL Omaha or maybe some $6/$12 or $10/$20 mixed games going that weekend? I see occasionally on the Live report a $6/$12 Omaha8 game going.

(4) How early should I book a hotel room for that weekend? I'm looking at, among other places, the Extended Say about 1-2 miles away. Unfortunately, I don't know how early I can get my friends to commit to the trip, and in the past I've literally booked hotel rooms the day before the trip. I'm thinking I should probably book the rooms by May 1st or so.

Thanks.

This year.

Why, is there something happening to the poker room that I don't know about?

1&2: I don't want to be snarky, but 1-2 games are usually considered to be about the same anywhere and any time, so I don't think you need to worry about how good the games are. On holiday weekends, you can expect there to be more people in the room, so there is the potential for longer than normal wait times. On the flip side, there may be more games running that usual, so more chance to table select.

3- Not my area of expertise, but I think they normally run 5-0 PLO (single blind) rather than 1-2. It goes irregularly, but busy times tend to be times when it runs, so it's a good time to hope for it.

6-12 OE already runs every day almost all day, so no worries there. If you want other games/more mix, that almost never goes, and when it does it will be 15-30 or higher to avoid cannibalizing the OE game. Same goes for a straight O8 game.

4- No idea, sorry.

1. Haven't played too much 1/2 recently, but when I have, 1/2 is amazing (~20 tables) on weekend nights.

2. Probably better than standard like most holidays.

3. 1/2 PLO has been going off a decent amount (~once a week) recently. I believe there is no bring-in of $5. If you want bigger, there's a $5 single blind game. This game will most likely be running that weekend. 6/12 OE runs almost constantly, with 2-3 tables at times. There's rarely anything in between 6/12 OE and 15/30 Holdem.

4. I believe that you'll be ok since Bensalem is not a major tourist attraction.

I only asked about the $1/$2 games because the games at my closest casino (Turning Stone) seem to be pretty nitty in the small sample size that I've been there since my return. I could have just had a couple of slow nights though, especially in the winter.

Thanks guys.

The beauty with most hotel reservations is that they are free to cancel as long as you give a day's notice. Of course, you have to remember to cancel, but with calendar reminders on your phone, should be no problem.

So the rake here vs rake+bbj and other comps like rooms in AC but an additional 30 min drive plus more tolls/gas.

Is it better to play at Parx if it a shorter session but if a longer session like 2 days or more it is better to go to AC? Just trying to figure this out. I think there might be other good things from both I may be missing as well.

I'm new to the philly area and am looking to play live as high stakes as possible with as high volume as possible. I know that there is a 10/10 game at Parx. Does anyone know how this game is? Max buy in? When is it softest? Also, is there any 5/10 or 10/25? What promotions/comps are there? Also, how are the tournaments? I've been reading through the thread but there's a lot of info. I posted a similar inquiry in the Harrah's thread as well. Thanks in advance for your replies

^10/10 runs basically everyday. Weakest on Sundays. Softest on tues, weekends, and during tournament series but is always relative. When there are multiple tables, there is a must-move so not much game selecting or bum hunting. 10-25 hasn't been getting off recently and when it does it's bc a 10-10 morphed into a 10-25. Sometimes it goes off when a rich fish such as an athlete or wealthy business man solicits higher action on the high limit side.

Seeuontheriver you had way too many names/descriptions of individuals in that post, which is not allowed. If it's just once or twice I would just edit them out, but I'm not cleaning all of that up. If you can find a way to repost without violating anyone's privacy, feel free to do so.
