Didn't know Ari left Parx. When did that happen and where is he now?

If I'm not mistaken I believe he's still at Parx as Director of Table Games

Yeah, but factor in the $ saved in gas/tolls for the round trip to AC.. that prob equates to $2/hr in comps...

Care to add rake/time collection to the picture?

Rake is $5 at parx vs $4+1 at borg. The limit games games are time, and the same more or less same just no BBJ money. I'd imagine the 10/10 time is the same as 5/10 at borg, but $1/down at that point shouldn't be a factor in which room you play in.

I typically play only on Tuesdays, any thoughts on whether Friday or Saturday the action is reasonably good for 2/5 and 10/10?

Yes I know 5 = 4 + 1.

Does not that +1 have some value to me? Aside from the remote chances of hitting the BBJ, it may draw some desirable players into the room who might not otherwise play.

What is time collection in 15/30, and in 30/60?

Do they still charge for alcoholic drinks?

Last time I played in the Borgata, players in the high limit room were treated to free pizza. Anything like that ever happen in Parx?

Re: Parx Casino (Bensalem, PA) -- FAQ updated 2013.03.18

the +1 is an incentive obviously.

15 = $6/half and 30 = $7/half vs borg 10 = $5 20 = $7/half(but you get $3/hour in comps)

booze is not free at parx, but imo with no hotel that's not a bad thing.

Borgata gets a few pizzas for lunch..That's really little to no value(but it's a nice gesture) Given you can't eat on the main floor at borgata VS getting to eat at all tables is a parx win.

borgata's limit games are generally $1 more per half hour then parx games.

Last edited by isuxatpokerbad; 01-10-2014 at 04:08 PM. Reason: nosebleeds max out at $7/half as well. Parx rule

Spoke to Bill tonight. He indicated there will be another promo event (perhaps a freeroll) coming in a few month's time, probably in the Spring.

Any 6/12 hold'em players here? The game rarely goes off in the room anymore. I'm looking to get a pool of players together and make the game happen at least once a week. Friday nights would be the best for me.

As per Matt Glantz the schedule will be out "very soon". He said it will be held around late February.

I saw an 8/16 O/8 going yesterday during the day on the Bravo app. Never seen it before. Any interest from anyone in keeping that going? Assume it was a kill to 15/30?

First time at Parx last night. Played the tournament and enjoyed it.

First ever royal flush also. A bit anticlimactic the way it played out, but hey, I'll take it.

Dear Parx,

Please post the schedule for the Deep Stax V. Within this schedule please include the 550 this time instead of skipping it as you did in the last series.

Sincerely,

TUNAFISHDELIGHT
