While talking to Matt Glantz at Borgata last week. Any comment on the hotel question?

That's great news, they could probably have the $300 once a month and get a huge field every time...

All these people whining about food and food options is silly. Eating at the table is disgusting, and you look like a slob while in the act. If you need to eat so bad pick up and go. I don't get how you assume I wash my hands after the rest room, or ever. I don't. So now your hands are on the chips, then on your food, and then in your mouth. Think of that the next time your chomping down on your greasy little sandwich. Eat before you sit down, and pick up and go when you are hungry.

Planned for 4 times a year feb. May. Aug. Oct.

Looks like they are skipping the 500 this time

I love that someone who says they never wash their hands feels uniquely qualified to critique what is disgusting in others.

Are most people buying in for 1k at 2/5 or do the buyins run the gamut from 200 up?

I'm visiting Philly on Thursday this week (9/26) and would like to spend a few hours donating at Parx. If I don't rent a car, what's the best/cheapest way to get to Parx from City Center (16/Market)? What limit games are usually running on a Thurs night? (I have Bravo, but not a big enough sample of mid-week nights)

THanks

I would use the search or go back a few pages to find the best public transportation route from center city, because I know it was rehashed in the past few weeks. Essentially you can take the train part of the way, then a cab (or a bus, if the timing is right) the rest.

On a Thurs night, there will typically be 1-2 games of 15-30 LHE, 1+ games of something bigger (usually 30-60, but could be a bit higher up to 75-150), possibly 1+ games of 6-12 LHE. I think the big game may also go that night (150-300ish mix). There will also be 1-2 tables of 6-12 OE.

Bus (septa.org) is cheapest and cab is most efficient if time is of the essence.

Thanks to all that responded. I was hoping there was something other than the 90 minute train/bus route or the $50 cab ride (I'm a cheap bastard).

Looks like its car rental time... See any and all of you there tomorrow...

I'm not sure what game you're looking to play, but you might want to call ahead to be sure it's running. I heard tonight that the 15-30 didn't get off last Thurs at all. I'm guessing it was just a bad coincidence, but thought I would mention it.

Has anyone ever asked the floor why they don't run a 1/3 NL game? Seems like with the amount of 1/2 action it would run well.

Probably because it hasn't been approved by the state. You can't just run any game you choose without approval.

As for something Parx should concentrate on, how about cleaning the men's room once in a while. It's worse than any sporting event I've ever gone to do. Absolutely disgusting.

People take no pride in themselves. Anyone who leaves a stall the way I found them Saturday night should be embarrassed. Guessing your home is pretty filthy too.

I only use the downstairs bathroom....The one in the poker room is toxic.

The upstairs bathroom is a joke, everything is broken in there.

So, what can comp dollars be used for other than food? I've been racking them up and I don't eat at the casino due to dietary restrictions

There is a case next to the shift manager's desk with various clothing that can also be purchased with comps, iirc.

Sounds good. Is purchasing a bottle of liquor possible?

Just be patient; there's one on the way
