Last I heard, it was not. But it's not like I heard it from Ari or Bill, and either way, things can always change. But I certainly don't think anything is imminent.

Re: Parx Casino (Bensalem, PA) -- FAQ updated 2013.03.18

Finally got to try the 6-12.
~3 hour session. I saw no craziness that had been rumored, only one 3-bet (that was me).
Full of 4-8 regs. Mostly played as such (read boring).
Rake structure makes it "beatable" I guess for a couple Miller High Life's per hour.
Glad to see the room attempt to try different limits, just not a stake that makes my 1 hour trip worthwhile on its own.
Nice backup though to play if the 15 game looks bad (which, with my mediocre talents and BR, it often looks bad to me).

Oh and before anyone says anything...I know there's a Philly Spurs bar but I don't want to watch the game there. Need to be at the NYC Spurs bar for the game.
Surprised no one says anything about "the" Spurs. LOL Americans.

They mean there are no buses going directly from NYC to Parx. There used to be Chinatown buses, but no more. There are still several SEPTA routes that go to Parx, one from the Plymouth Meeting Mall and a few from Frankford Transportation Center.

Just moved to Glenside PA. What's the rake for the 1/2 games, are they full of noobs? Is this the best place for me to get my grind on?

Rake is 10% up to $5. No bbj/promotion drop but its coming soon. Typical 1/2 games as far as I can tell. 300 max. Certainly the best ran room I've ever regularly played in.

20+ 1/2 and 5+ 2/5 game I'd say. Rarely will you have any long waits on weekdays, especially at 1/2.

Anyone interested in 1/2 PLO H/L tonight? I should be there around 8 pm. I've seen the game running a couple days over the past week now, and I'm hoping it becomes a bit more regular

$1 $2 is $60 - $300
$2 $5 is $200 - $1000

$1 - $2 is about the same as AC, may be a hair tougher. $2 - $5 is somewhat tougher than Borgata. I play $2 - $5 twice a week.

I don't live in Philly or play at Parx anymore but I saw a cool idea here at Bay 101 (San Jose casino) on their napkins. It makes the servers job a little easier and servers won't be interrupting players during big hands to ask if a player is done with his or her service items:

I havnt heard any talk about the 15/30. I won't ask how good the game is cause that's way to general of a question. how many players see a flop? is it raised preflop 80% of the time or more? is an actual showdown somewhat rare?

Parx is closest from Glenside. Harrahs and sands are 10-15 minutes further. 1/2 games are the relative same at all three places. $5 max rake at Parx. Lots of regs during the day that are just ok players. Not many complete noobs.

Glenside is a decent little town. Welcome. You must try Pizza Box, the wings at Union Jacks, clean machine car wash and The Kewsick Tavern. All top notch.

Can vary by time of day and players, but it is not rare for 4-5 to see the flop for 2 bets or more. (Maybe that's just when I'm involved.) Most pots are raised PF. I would say showdowns occur for 50% of hands or more.

Gotcha. Thinking about shot taking but I have no clue who the soft spots are (other than me). I don't want to shot take against a shark table.

The physical split away from 6/12 table makes it difficult to get an easy idea. Maybe I will lurk/heavy breathe when I'm out there tomorrow.

I can tell you having played both games that the $15/30 is much more aggressive than the $6/12. I have noticed during the week that the higher game has quite a few regulars.

Thanks. I was surprised at 20/40 out in San Diego, it sometimes played like a low limit game. I think when there is bigger game going the ultra aggros gravitate there if they have the $$.

Was thinking of playing the Monday bounty tournament in a couple weeks. Have only played MTT's online. On the off-chance I cash, is it standard to tip the dealer if you:
- cash at all
- cash on the final table
- win the whole thing

If so, how do you do it? While still at the table? Tip in cash? chips?

Your not allowed to tip the dealer directly... When you get paid at the window, there is a dealer box that you can throw money into.
