That's good to hear. Thanks for the response dinesh

Wow I can't spell on my phone. Anyway, I busted. I feel I played very well, but was card dead. I only had 3 real playable hands, AA once, where I doubled up plus a ton of dead money early on with a 10Kish stack (started w/ 15K,) 88 while short stacked in the BB but had to give up after it went CU open- shorstack button shove - 4 bet from the SB, and finally AK aipf to bust out against QQ that held up.

Anyway, I felt the Satellite had a lot of value, and I was just unfortunate to not get many OK spots. I made a bunch of good laydowns, though, haha.

I also played 6/12 OE. If anyone here was on the "must move" table around 530-7 I was the guy in the grey Fender hoodie who announced "Hey guys, I'll be your fish today" when sitting down, before moving over to the satellite at 7. It was a fun game. I'm gonna have to get a lot better at Stud though b/c I felt I was way, way too nitty.

I see 20/40 HO going right now...What do you guys think the chances are of a midstakes mixed game becoming a regular thing at Parx? Right now 6/12 OE seems to do really well but players are faced with the impossible jump to 75/150, surely there must be some demand to play higher than 6/12?

There's been 10/20 or 15/30 hoe a couple days a week. It definitely is getting traction.

There aren't too many people that play 6/12 that will jump into 15/30 it's more or less two separate player pools.

Frankford Transportation Center, or what used to be called Bridge and Pratt.

Is anyone here interested in 6/12 O8, without Stud Hi/Lo?

Just wondering. I don't have a day that'd be good for me, but I just wanted to see if I'm the only one (who would prefer plain O8 to OE)

Probably not, but you'll likely have a hard time getting them to spread it, since it will interfere with the successful OE game.

This seems like a cost effective way to go. How long did it take?

Played in the room for the 3rd time yesterday, really enjoyed it (cash, not tournament, altho two friends played 300+30). Quality dealers, and for once, managed to get a table full of non-Hollywooders, which made for good hands-per-hour.

Food selection leaves much to be desired.

What time does the 10/10 usually start Tuesdays? Does it run Wednesday and Thursday?

Thanks!

Sounds like a nightmare of a commute to get to a poker room. Renting a car with another person/small group and splitting the costs seems much better.

What are straddle rules at Parx? Are tables 9 or 10 handed?

UTG doubles the big blind bet and acts last preflop. Limit games get capped at 5 bets (pre flop only). Cash games are 9 handed.

Thank you. How does the 1-2 generally play?

Yeah, I actually asked a couple guys when I went to play OE. They said that on the "must move" game it's easy to get it to change to O8, but only if a few people want it.

Anyway if anyone wants to play O8 before I go back to school (beginning of Sept.) let me know and I'll make an effort to come down to play.

BTW, by "I don't have a day that's good for me" I meant any specific day. Until school starts I'm free most of the time, I have to get my wisdom teeth out and that's all I have to for the next month as I'm not working right now.

So if anyone wants to play O8, I'm down as long as I'm not doped up on painkillers

I've played a handful of times, but based off what I've seen there's generally a few players who play the game too big (bet sizing 15-25 dollar opens) or a few people who are way too tight (5 dollar opens after 4-6 limpers.)

So for the most part, based on the little play I have, the solid players are relatively easy to identify and everyone else is either there for fun, or because they think they're good but they're not.

Then again I've played cash there a handful of times so it's a "lol sample size."

We usually start around 12 Mon-Fri. During BigStax it runs over night a few times a week also.

I'd be down to play 8/16 O8. They've been known to spread that in the past.
