I would love to see PLO or Big O running at a 5/5 blind level.

A rotation of 5/5 PLO and 5/10 NL would be incredible, and we actually managed to get it going once.

So please go ahead and blow my mind, what are these guys sitting down with for starting stacks ??

I am guessing it would have to be at least 30K. Amirite ?

And what kinda bankroll do you need to have, over a million doll hairs ???

If it's 400-800 I'm sure your average person buys in for 20k (just like most people that play 20-40 buy in for 1000). I'm sure some buy in more, but it's all relative. For the recreational players in the game, I doubt bankroll is an issue. For the pros, I'm sure it's a lot but not everyone subscribes to great bankroll management. I'd doubt 1m pure bankroll for most, but I'm sure some have it.

I noticed the Parx Big Stax $1k directly competes with the Foxwoods WSOPc main $500k gtd. It'd be impossible to play both since day 2 is on the 18th for both. Hope they reconsider dates as I'm sure many players would love to play both events. Already tweeted Matt Glantz, hope something can be done. Preferably hosting it after the circuit main..

Got a response, unfortunately nothing can be done. Guess there's always next time!

In case anyone was wondering, there is typo on their schedule. The 8/5 Satellite isn't for the Bis Stax 300 and 500, as the 300 is on Day 3 on 8/5. They said it's probably going to be for just the 500, but that it wasn't decided 100% as of a couple days ago.

The one on 8/1 is still for both, though. I'll be playing in that.

The series looks fun. Unfortunately I can only play if I satellite in for bankroll reasons, so here's to hoping I win a seat haha.

Yeah that's funny. As I've posted a couple times in response to the question of how many runners there were, when I played a few weeks ago there was only 160ish runners. It has literally gotten bigger every week.

I have a party to go to on Saturday, but if I don't end up drinking and I feel fresh on Sunday morning I definitely have to play next week!

I see the 6/12 holdem listed on Bravo as an active table.

How often is it going?
What time of day/what day's?
How is the action?
Rake?
Impact on other games?

Thx

It is running sporadically since it started 7/1. I think everyone would like for it to run a bit more regularly, which will hopefully happen over time as people see it running. it seems to jump from full to half full and back a few times before it breaks.

I don't get there during the day, but there are a group of day players who may start getting it started around lunchtime. otherwise, the night shift starts at dinnertime, and that is the next good chance that it will start.

it is $4 per half hour time charge. a great deal.

i dunno if there's much impact on other games. it may be drawing somewhat from the 6-12 OE, but that game is pretty solid so i doubt they even notice. folks on the wait list for 15-30 will sometimes sit in the 6-12 while they wait, so that helps, but that means they also leave as soon as their seat in the bigger game comes available, or if a must move starts in that game.

Do they have a ridiculous list of alternates or are they using the tables that often go unused in the high stakes area like they did with day 2 of the big stax 300?

I played this past Sunday. They used two tables in the high limit area but still had alternates up to 39+. I stopped paying attention after that.

They reserved 200 seats and there were 50 alternates. I got there at 12:30 and was alternate #24 and got a seat within 10 min. Best to get there to register by 11:30 to guarantee a seat w/o a wait

The first place payout was a little lower b/c 250 players is the cutoff to pay 27 not 18. I busted 13th at 5:45 for $201 and somehow no one even mentioned chopping.

Its a great value tournament that plays out quick. I will be there every week as long as the numbers stay strong.

You need to make the PLO game half the size of the NL game or it will dominate the rotation.

Ill be there tonight, and down to play 2/5 PLO or bigger, with the accompanying NL games in the mix.

Actually, would be willing to sit short at 5/5PLO+5/10NL or bigger.

I see the 10/10 NLH/PLO mix on bravo. Ill add my name in about half an hour.

Are they both playing same blinds, or will the PLO be 5/5? If the two games are the same blinds then it's a pretty terrible structure. The PLO will dominate the holdem.

PLO plays about twice as big as NLH. Maybe bigger.

Same with the 2/5 NLH/PLO. And it's always a good idea to avoid white chips and the subsequent math issues and go on ahead and make it 5/5 imo.
