there is often a 150-300 or thereabouts game going, especially on tues and wed. it is sometimes a mix, but sometimes just a stud/8 game. i suppose it depends on who is there. best bet is to check bravo or call in on those nights.

Played it last night.

It was 6-9 handed till 3:30AM, and overall very soft.

hey, thanks for the quick replies! i hope they have a 75 game... i know the guy who prefers to play just stud8, he plays a lot at the Borg but he likes to play a bit higher than i do but i guess it'll just depend who shows up. sounds like i might make the trip to PA afterall. been awhile.

Yeah of course it still has good days. Thursday was good action. Tuesdays in general remain strong-ish if not more reggy.

But there are constantly days like last Wednesday when the game broke at 9pm or today when the game didn't run at all. Friday the game was shorthanded in the late afternoon. The game used to start at 11am on the dot and run until the Huy hours of the morning and that just isn't the case anymore. Hopefully this is just a phase.

Yeah, I'm rooting for it. Want to start hitting it up twice a week for about 10-12 hours total.

Don't want to have to go back to the long Borgata drives from Philly.

I would definitely play 5-0 PLO but never 1-2 PLO. Not to rag on the dealers but it is very tilting to watch dealers calculate pots in the 1-2. Also, the PLO game will most likely never really be like how it was when the game first started (although it still has potential) bc a certain action player is unfortunately no longer with us. RIP.

We should just try to run it every tues bc it attracts players who play games other than NLHE.

As of last week you could only play HOSE. so whatever the game is, that will be the mix. Unless something has changed.

yes and..somewhere between one and two racks. The game plays with a 10/20 kill so more chips are advisable.

I'd be interested in 1/2 or 1/3 with the red chip open, so it's all red post flop. Even 5-0 with the 200-500 buy in works. That way with the 500 max buy-in, it plays more like a deep stacked PLO game vs 100BB 5-0 500 max buy. Whatever though. As long as I know what day the game consistently gets going, I would play.

Game just broke at 6pm today. Total 180 from the health of this game a year ago.

Weird. Bravo shows live game with a waiting list 6 deep. I would be super annoyed to drive out and see no game running.

Maybe the game should be switched back to 5/10. I think the peach chips and large buy-ins, while great for the short term EV of the pros, are very bad for the health of the game. A 5/10 red/green game looks less familiar to shot takers on the East Coast, and the 2k cap keeps marginal "pro" players from going broke too fast to reload from other income sources.

Well we were 4 handed and broke. We kept the game open and left our chips on the table. If there is no game on the bravo or no chips on the table people are less likely to come. The game is running again 5 handed.

A lot of people have talked about changing the game back to 5/10. The guy who was a big proponent of making it 10/10 doesn't even play the game anymore. Using separate chips makes it harder for someone on a heater to make the jump an take a shot. They have that mental and physical barrier of having to change chips and they just end up standing pat.

You can't attract customers if the store is closed. Good work.

Do consider lobbying for the changes, tho. I think it will be easier to keep the game going with a more traditional structure.

You guys may also want to move it closer to the 2/5 area to demystify it a bit and attract curious shot takers.

Turned to NYC games instead of the 10/10 due to it's lackluster state. Would definitely be a good move to change it back to a standard 5/10 with a $2000 buy-in. Shiny, you seem to be pretty informed regarding the topic. You should speak with Ari about it.

Just did an informal survey of a currently full table. Everyone is in favor of changing the game back to 5/10 with a $2k cap. I'll ask the day regs who start the game how they feel about it since it kind of hinges on them.

Also, does everyone agree the 10/20NL game should go back to 1k-5k buy in and 10/25 2500-uncapped? Keep us updated.

If the 10/25 at Chester starts going on Monday in addition to Wednesday like it is right now it's going to hurt the games even more. Can't really do much about that.

It's $1/hr for 60 hrs of play. I'm pretty sure being entered into a $50,000 tournament (with an extremely soft player pool) where more than 33% of entrants get paid (50-100 get $150) is worth much more. Though I understand how this might suck if you can't actually make the tournament date.

When I heard the news I was pretty sad =(
Many fewer hours of labor to pay your dealers and the need to bring in extra just to cover that freeroll with 400-500 runners, plus they're still rewarded and the money's getting funneled back into the games anyway, so I think while we're all rewarded, Parx is making out best here. That somebody worked it down to 200 freeroll EV as an estimate may be a little understated, but still I'd like my cash guaranteed and not have to block off a day two months in advance just for it.

FYI the 5-0 is 200bb deep.

Me and a friend are coming to parx on Saturday. Any chance there will be either a 1/2 PLO game or a $5/0 PLO game?

Also, how far of a walk is it from the poker building to the other general parts of the casino for blackjack and craps. Do I have to drive or is it a short outdoor walk?
