Went to Parx Saturday and had my best take ever at 2/5 and 1/2. End brag.

My friend was in a 2/5 at a nearby table and got slow rolled when he 4 or 5 bet shoved pre. Older Asian regular with tan hat and dark sunglasses has no action behind him and takes over a minute to call with AA. then after river he hesitates even after friend says ace high, then slowly rolls over AA. friend did nothing to create bad blood so it was just rediculous. Table is annoyed but no major commotion, just mutterings. Friend says nothing and stays classy about the entire episode.

Never seen this guy get out of line but haven't played with him much either. Just ugly ugly poker. Don't know his name but he's a 2/5 and 10/10 guy. Does he always pull stunts like this for giggles?

I'm sure this is standard for him. If its the same guy, he was all in on board of Kxxxx and his opponent says what do you have?. He takes his time and says, I have 1 pair. Opponent tables AA for best 1 pair hand. Asian old guy tables KK for trips. AA guy naturally goes apepoop.

I really don't understand why people do this.

Parx is the nut worst casino when it comes to regs seating themselves and table-hopping.

+1 table hopping gets out of hand sometimes.
few weeks back husband and wife switched 4 times, resetting 300 to new tables after hitting few hands for 100-250+. So once they hit total for 450-600 the ask for table change....we had to inform the floor of what they were doing......?!?

I have no problem if anyone asks and subsequently gets re-sat by the floor to a different table.

What I see are regs switching themselves as soon as they see a good seat open up somewhere else.

This is especially true later at night.

do chinatown and 8th ave buses still run to parx?

Does anyone know why the NYC Chinatown bus to Parx was killed? I was a huge fan, riding it 4 times / wk, on avg.

I asked some casino personnel, and even quizzed some of the Asians who worked the route (I had heard rumors of it's imminent demise)... but all I got were shrugs and evasive replies.

Meanwhile, the buses to Sands seem to be running as strong as ever....

I'm surprised no other operators have stepped in to take the route over. There certainly seem to be plenty of buses going to every other casino. But Parx is my favorite - mostly for proximity, but I genuinely like the room, as well.

I've even considered starting my own little car pool down there, but suspect it would be more trouble than it's worth...

Was eating @ the noodle bar last week... Mid-meal a **** roach crawled right in front of me. I like the noodle bar but they def might want to check to see if they have a pest issue

This is def true. It doesn't only apply to regs but every player in general. My 2/5nl game was 6 handed for about 1 hr or so while the other three tables were 8 and 9 handed during late evening time. The next thing we notice is that all the other tables were full except ours, which remained 6 handed.

I feel that there needs to be a podium or a floor person nearby the 2-5 tables at all times to help make this less prevalent. The closest podium to the 2-5 tables is positioned in a way that the floor's back is faced the 2-5s with a huge wall obstructing the view. It is very easy to just slide right into a game that is more full without floor or anyone noticing or saying something. Game selection is fine but just follow the rules.

So you'd rather gain one extra player and pay twice as much rake? So logical...

No, but if I'm at a good table I'd like it to myself for a little while before it turbo fills with regs.

Likewise, I'd like a fair shot at my own table change if I see a better table.

For you and anyone else complaining, try voicing your thoughts to a floor person instead of on 2p2. The floor people at Parx are very competent and if you make a half decent effort of bringing an issue to their attention they will address it.

Who said this wasnt brought up to upper mgmt? Also, isn't that the purpose of this thread? Do you not think Parx management reads this thread which is the most reliable feedback for quality control? Who said anyone was complaining anyways? These are merely suggestions. Cheer up sir... no need to pick virtual fights on 2p2.
