Also no green chips either, maybe that's part of it.

Borgata does 12k/40min levels and 100/200 bets is level 4.
The solution is to increase the level times. Getting limit structures right is really tough. Starting at 100/200 seems fine to me. Problem is if you add in levels like 25-50 and 50-100 you need 25 chips and also the levels are meaningless compared to stack size. They would be a waste of levels. If you add 25-50 I might not fold at all that level to create an image as the amount of chip loss in 20 mins at that level would be hard to be more than 1000

Well, IMHO, if you park in a handicap spot w/o a handicap license plate, a $25 ticket is more than fair.

No they said they invented a spot near the hdcp parking.

Illegally pkg in handicap is like $100+ (should be towed too)

LOL, so they "invented" a spot and they're surprised when they get a $25 ticket? Even better.

Let me get this straight, you guys are complaining that people are getting tickets for illegally parking and running stop signs at Parx??? Uhm...follow the laws and you don't have to worry about tickets...imagine that idea!!!!

To be fair, there aren't any signs that say no parking and the curb isn't painted red or yellow. I'm talking about the people who are parked on the curb closest to Parx East in the handicap area. I call it the handicap area even though 60% of the area isn't handicap parking.

Its not like they parked in spaces marked no parking or where they were blocking people in, its just spots where no lines are painted. But yeah hooray for cops acting like tax collectors and writing tickets to cars parked on private property.

Poker players always looking to shoot an angle.

seriously tho, if you've been driving for longer than like 6 months you just know where you can and can not park. ffs, just walk the extra 2 minutes from the normal parking spaces. It's more exercise than most of the people in that room get on a weekly basis.

"spots where no lines are painted"....isn't that an oxymoron? Maybe these "creative" parkers are from South Philly, home of park wherever the **** you want and get outraged when you get a ticket. But you're right, the true blame surely belongs with the police. What right do they have keeping things in order on private property? You think maybe, just maybe, Parx mgmt. might have a hand in it? Nah, of course not.

I honestly don't know why you are being so hostile I was just making a PSA. I carry large sums of money when I leave the casino and don't like walking far to my car so I always like parking in the front lot.

Out of curiosity, do you report your gambling winnings? Because this is going to tilt you: a lot of people don't.

I left with 6 players left around 5:15 and they were still playing it out, so the 6:00 finish time was an estimate. May have been earlier.

Anyone have any idea how much a cab to/from downtown Philly will cost?

When my car broke down I took a cab back from Parx to university city and it was $70 with tip. So center city would be slightly cheaper. This was around 3am with no traffic though.

As long as you keep an eye out at the Applebee's stop sign. If you survive your session ticketless from the 'created' spots, they'll most likely be there and bored

I've been at the Borgata since Wednesday and I can safely that free WiFi would definitely be a huge perk and possibly even a moneymaker for the poker room. Because of limited data plans on phones people love having the opportunity to stream things over WiFi (e.g. Pandora). Lots of people bring their wives or girlfriends who sit behind them and keep themselves occupied with an iPad. WiFi just keeps people in their seats longer.

I sometimes wait for over an hour to get a seat in the 10/10 game and would love to watch a few episodes of a TV show on Netflix to pass the time but as anyone with a cell phone data plan knows streaming Netflix quickly causes your monthly data usage to surge.

I know there are plenty of cons such as possible security concerns and I'm sure commercial high speed Internet contracts aren't cheap but that's just my two cents on that. When you spend 150+ hours in a casino a month little creature comforts make a big difference. I saw a lot of Parx players at Borgata this weekend and I know we feel appreciated when merely 50-100 hours of poker a year gets us two free rooms a week at their hotels even during tournament times.

The little things make a huge difference and I hope Parx one day can slap a $500k guarantee on a $560 tournament and get 1800 players with 300 alternates waiting hours to get a seat. Vaporizing our comps without advanced notice is not a good step in that direction.

Aside:

This would require help from some pretty technically skilled people but you could set up a system where people need to play 20 hours a month to use the WiFi. This would mitigate costs and create a small incentive for people to play more. All you have to do to log in to the WiFi network is type in your player PIN on a web page interface like you see in airport and public hotspots.

Also, **** borgata chips. Slippery bastards.

Playing 10/10 and worried about free wi fi classic! Spend some $$$ and buy an IPad or a Kindle Fire if you get bored.

My gf got me a WiFi iPad for my birthday last year. Not being able to use it at Parx is really tilting me. That is 90% of the reasoning behind my complaint. But also they should be trying harder to keep up with Borgata.

If you are a cable subscriber most areas are covered by their free wi-fi. Also you have 10 hours of battery life watching video on an IPad just download and don't worry about wi-fi.

Can anyone tell me where the Asian bus leaves from in chinatown that goes to Parx. I'm sure it's been mentioned in this thread so please excuse my laziness. Thanks.
