I'd like to play 8-16 Limit Holdem on Tuesdays. Earliest I can get there is 6 PM. Is anyone interested in getting this game going again? I've started lists, and can usually get 6.

Three questions for regs:

A) how many tables total are there in the Parx room?
B) I've heard horror stories about people waiting hours to get on 1/2 and 2/5 tables. Confirm or debunk? Especially regarding tonight?
C) I see the 1/2 PLO plays with one $5 blind. Can anyone quote me the BI min/max please?

I think they have 48 tables? I know I saw that 43 were running last night.

Like any Friday it'll be busy but I can't see anything near an hour wait time. I'm pretty sure you can call ahead and add your name to lists which is nice.

PLO is 200-500

The horror waiting times really only happen when they are short on dealers/tables. They were short on tables when they opened, so waits were pretty absurd. When I went Wednesday during the day, the waits were pretty long because there was a tournament going on, thus a shortage of dealers/tables. Tonight, there will be no tournament and plenty of dealers, so I would not expect a long wait at all. If there is a long list for PLO, you can try to start a must move like we did a couple weeks ago.

They had 61 tables soon after the expansion which could be used for cash games. The first post says they have 64 tables now, though I'm not sure where the extras came from. As mentioned, the room will usually run out of dealers before it runs out of tables.

I don't believe this is correct. They have 2 plaques, one reads $100-500, the other reads $200-500. I believe more times than not when this game goes, they use the $200-500 plaque. I'm assuming some others can jump in here and validate this.

First time I clicked on this thread. I see they have a live update of the games being played. That is pretty slick. I wish all casinos did this.

60 or 61 tables, but they could only use up to 50 for cash games.

The room is staffed appropriately and majority of the times the waiting times are minimal. The exception was this past Monday.

$200 to $500

Ari -

I noticed the schedule of events for the WPT reigonal you posted has been deleted from this thread. Are you working on a complete schedule with structures ?

Just got a call from a friend saying all poker comps accrued at parx, expire either tonight or tomorrow. Can anyone confirm this nonsense?

He also heard comps are gonna be on a 60 day rolling scale, use it or lose it.

This is kinda crappy if they changed this without notifying anyone.

I really hope that's not true between my roommate and I we probably have over $1000 in comps and we are both out of town. Ugh. Wish I could vote with my feet and play somewhere else but Chester screws you in even more creative ways.

I did not play in the parx summer series. Do you have to register for a tournament on the same day or can you register for any tournament once the first tournament of the series begins? Would prefer to register early and not have to fight a line the morning of a tournament.

I just called and spoke to a floor person and confirmed that Parx have started a 60 day rolling policy with the comps. Any comps earned earlier than 60 days are expired. They did not give any warning about this or at least not to my knowledge.

This is new policy is definitely not favorable to the players. I don't even really mind that Parx initiated this policy if that is what they want going forward. BUT they really should given the players a heads up so we can use our comps before they expired. I have hundreds in comps that have automatically expired because they were earned 60 days prior to Jan 1st.

I think the players should voice their displeasure to upper management. I know Ari and Brandon come on 2+2, hopefully, they can address this before it becomes a runaway issue.

This comp thing seems pretty unbelievable to me. Just the 60 day rule seems to be pretty lame and very player unfriendly. The expiration of previously earned comps seems like flat out theft to me. If you are told comps don't expire and let it build up I can't see how it would be acceptable for the poker room to change it's mind and decide they do expire and clear your account. I know lots of players with $500+ on their accounts in comps.

If this is true Parx just stole at least $20,000 in comps from their players.

This comp thing is sooo super scummy. The balls to steal peoples comps after they specifically said that they "never expire". I really believe that taking them with no warning amounts to theft. I hope they lose a lot of money from this. I know I will play here a lot less, its hard to regain peoples respect.

Btw, based on the numbers I am hearing they stole a lot more than $20,000

The comp thing is pretty effed up. But what can I do? I live 6 miles away. I'd play here with no comps. I'd play here if they charged higher rake. I'm playing here almost no matter what. Um, which table should I bend over PARX? Could you at least use some Vaseline, pleeeeze?
Unless the action disappears.
And let's be honest so will all the other complainers itt. Just deal with it.
Happy new year and good luck to all.
